i'm sorry but how do you get to 30k before you realize you are being scammed? I stopped after like the 1st couple paragraphs where you lent money to the guy a few times with no payback yet...

Sometimes people are too trusting and also hope to dig out of the hole and end up in a deeper hole.

I think Primo posted this here as a lesson to others, it's certainly not the first example nor the last example in the poker world.

The guy also befriended him, so there was some perception of trust and friendship involved, and obviously the benefit of hindsight at this point too.

So you know this guy in real life? I'm amazed by OP's stupidity. You know for a fact that he's taking down 10k, 13k in tournies, hasn't paid you back a nickel, and you send him a few hundred everytime he begs you?

unfort. your completely right winnercircle, I lost all my $$$ here and have never recovered or done anything with my life, been at microstakes + grinding a real job ever since, I learned early that i'm not cut out for this. I just don't understand why your 40 page diatribe needs to be in this forum? Aren't there police you can contact in order to have him arrested/ pay you back? You have been ripped off thousands of dollars, and no police are investigating? Someone owed me $10 and didn't pay me. A year or 2 later they asked to borrow $20 because there wasn't an ATM around. Guess who couldn't buy any food that day?

You made this thread to get a pity party? Or is there an actual point that I missed here?

like yay said scammer went to jail on totally unrelated (drug) stuff. Also people mention it cause i've been scammed/stiffed for like 250k total from people/regs/etc. so I have a history of just being repeatedly scammed errdayy

OP I know this thread is old but why the hell would u give him his money back that he lent u at the casino. U said he gave u like 2k and u ran it up then gave back the original amount to him. Just seems stupid. I understand why you initially trusted him but at this point it seemed that u were so deep that u cared less about any of the money unless u got back the bulk of your money. if that was me when I found out about him taking the money on stars at least one bone of his body would be broken.
