Whats your opinion on having a low won money at show down percentage, obviously i would love to have it higher but is it likely to just be a product of playing style meaning by making adjustments to try and improve it im likely to damage my game by a greater degree than what i would gain from doing so?

Hey quinn, for having spent far too much time studying winning cash game player stats on PTR, I can tell you that w$sd is correlated to your vpip. Very tight players have an incredibly high w$sd while very loose ones have a low w$sd. There seem to be other unknown factors (to me at least) but the vpip definitely is the primary one. There are big winners with both styles so I wouldn't bother too much with w$sd personally.

I dont think this book will kill the games or harm the community, but it will harm the people who are already at the top of husngs, some of their money comes from playing regulars who are worse then them, and those regulars can become a little better by reading this book. I think the result will be that the distribution of profits will be a little less top-heavy, so less money for the highstakes regulars, and a little more for the lower stake ones.

I really liked the book btw, nothing was really new for me but some chapters were really spot-on, and a lot of things u wrote helped me to remember the things that are really important in poker

I understand now. Just like Sklansky's holdem poker helped develop Texas Hold'em a few decades ago, the ebook will create more HUSNG regs and regs need education. Guess where they will sign up to get it!

I have skimmed through the ebook. I plan to study it during my vacation next week and I can already tell it is going to help new HUSNG players like myself so thanks mers. I just wish you didn't sound like an annoying jackass in some of the chapters.

Regarding the ebook being bad for the HUSNG community, it is just a way to say "it's going to be bad for my wallet!". Anyway, I have nothing to say that NoahSD doesn't say better:

A small typo/mistake I spotted:

In page 52 #2, you mention that the board is K85cc 4c and Ax (x=non club), and then his range is "rivered" flush. I guess you meant to say either Ac or "turned" flush instead?

I bet you're regretting not hiring my excellent proofreading services. I was going to do it for free too, because I am an attention whore and like to be involved in projects. 'm like totally a published author and stuff, and not only do I proofread (since I cannot grammar) I can fill the page with merry red comments about flow and syntax. I can turn it into poetry to last throughout the ages. Too late now. Your bad uses of commas will be forever etched in history. When poker evolves into whatever it is 10 years later, they will remember Mers as the guy who wrote that out of date ebook years and years ago and who had no idea where to place commas.

Heads up SNG in general, though a few chapters deal specifically with short effective stack situations (but even those are extremely useful in turbos and even regular speed formats).
