Just wondering what are some of the ways that people study on a day to day basis and what works for them and what doesn't? Also, what are some recommendations of materials or study methods to help me beat regs at higher limits?

Post hands of situations you often find yourself in, and get some perspective. Improving your play in situations you encounter frequently will reap pretty quick rewards for you.

Play a lot of tilt free volume. Work on small increases, an extra 30 min per week will add up quite a bit (4 hours of extra play per week after only 2 months).

Think at least mid term, and likely long term with this kind of stuff. Small victories are both achievable and will add up to big value and build confidence. Huge goals can motivate some, but most people fail at huge goals and it sets them back. Build realistic small goals that will lead to something sustainable and valuable.

Thank you for the advice, definitely taking this on board. I think I am really motivated and have really big goals and seeing my progression slow down has worried me, I feel like I still got loads and loads to learn.

Play lots of games and at the same time study sound theory (EHUNL vols 1 and 2).
Also learn to use computational tools like CREV, Pro Poker Tools, or better, learn how to build one yourself http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/33...poker-1460373/.

Posting hhs and getting ad hoc advice isn't as good imo.

And this is the irrational way to learn.

This sounds like great advice, I've read EHUNL 1 but I don't think I was able to understand it fully so will re-read and will look into how to use CREV. Always thought it looked like a really helpful tool but never really knew how to use it effectively.

Just because something is true for you does not make it true for everyone else.

Those books go to great lengths explaining sound theory with precise language that anyone can study with some effort. What exactly does it mean to "feel" ranges?

Play 1 table with as much focus as you can muster. Then practice your ability to focus. Always think about what you would do with your entire range, not just your holding, in every single hand.

When working through hand histories, go very deep. Spend much more time with it than just figuring out the EV compared to folding or whatever.

Check out Will Tiptons books.

Read their biographies, they tell you how in detail most of the times. Start at 3 years of age at karting, live and breathe it for a decade without loosing the passion then work hard on getting sponsored.
