You should move up, 3.5 has no difference to 7s.

Hi,

Just wondering what is the general strategy vs 100% limpers who either A) Limp to shove or B) Limp check call/check call then river shove?

What sort of hands am i looking to raise pre-flop if any?
How do i play PP's and do i just value bet everything?

Im losing most of my money to these idiots who limp shove with like AJ vs my AK or PP and they hit but oh well, think i should just fold until they want to play post flop which is where im better.

There was a funny thread about this question in the news, views and gossip forum here on 2p2 awhile back.

I think typos + old school way of saying heads up explains most of it.

This is question is too all over the place.

A) Depends on how many hands he's limping to shove, at which stacks and how many hands are limp folding/limp calling.

B) Way too little info on this one too, can't possibly answer this one, especially jumping from vague preflop (limp calls some hands) to river shoving (stacks? what hands? what boards? what happens on the flop and turn?).

If your concern is losing AK to AJ then you are focused on the wrong thing, you should always want to get AK in against AJ. You'll win around 3 out of 4 times, so don't expect to win 100% of them, players tend to expect to win 100% of the time they get it in ahead it seems too often.

hey guys,
I've been trying to the play heads-up SNG for $2, on cake poker. I had some experience playing deep stack heads-up poker. The hardest thing I'm having trouble with, is dealing with passive opponents. I actually play much better against aggressive opponent ironically. I guess their cards pretty well and can spot bluffs pretty well.

When I'm playing against the passive opponent, I feel they are checking all the time. They limp all their hands. I feel I should really get good value out of my top pair type hands, but I don't seem to. I don't know if I should bet my a bottom/middle pair type hands for thin value. When I got them and get called I'm almost always behind. However, when I checked them I feel vulnerable to getting sucked out.

Also it seems like bluffing loses me a lot of money. What are some suggestions on how to play better against passive opponents.

Just wondering because it seems like all the sites selling HUDs insist that everyone winning at high stakes is using one. Are they worth the $100 a year? Which is the best one for us HUSNG players?

also, are there any "tricks" to getting HUDS for free/cheaper

any hud that charges a yearly subscription is a scam most likely. HEM or PT3 are the popular ones, they are a one-off purchase.

I'm just watching the first thinking like a winner video from HUSNG.com and waldie mentions that in his HUD he has a no of big blinds result in PT3. Where is this option? I can't seem to find it in my PT3? I'd like to add it to my hud.

Sick of learning/dealing with tournament strategy when playing heads up

ie someone shoving 1500tc into a 30tc limp because its probably weak, etc

I'm thinking about depositing $500 and starting at 25nl...+ or - EV? I'm a BE player consisting of $10 and lower husng's over 400 games

I'm a reg in regular speed heads up SNGs and do pretty well at the $15s/$30s. I'm looking to progress to the $60s and just saw that the volume there is usually pretty low, so thinking about playing turbos instead.

What is the best way to adjust from reg speed to turbos?

HEY, can someone tell me which HUD is the one where you can just highlight your opponent during the game and see their playing stats? I downloaded PT3 but it seems to only have post game analysis?

hash, get used to the huge variance that you'll have to deal with in turbos. people will play super agro and you'll be flipping alot. i'd stick to regs unless theres a huge shortage of games.. and since im sure you're playing them on stars, that shouldnt be much of an issue

I myself recently switched from regs to turbos but I am playing 7s/15s currently.
Biggest difference is that you will be playing a lot more at such blind levels as 25/50, 30/60, 40/80 that means lower effective stack sizes.
Endgame was biggest issue for me but as I swiched I cant imagine playing reg speed anymore.
My advice work on your game when eff stacks are ~8-25bb

Hi everyone got a quick question about game selection,

I play the $7 HUSNG Turbo on pokerstars and as you know all i can see in the lobby, Is if i have a note on this player or his nationality

I just need help on what to look for, Is there any particular nationalitys that other regs at this level look to face, or is there something i am missing? And assistance will be appriciated

Thanks Jak

There is no need to select your opponents at 7s. Just sit down and wait or sit first opponent. You will get tought opponents very very rarely at this level and if you get you can mark them.
Speaking about nationalities, the only one different I can point out - russians, if you sit russian there are greater chance that you will play against maniac.

I am a US husng player who completely quit online poker after Black Friday. However, now I want to put some money on a site to play low stakes for fun. Preferably as low as $5 games. What site is best for this? How long does it tend to take to get a game these days?

Alright, noob pot odds question, or wtv it is.

So my opponent has a draw, and i'm a 45%/55% dog against his range.

He bets pot (say 100 into 100). I'm getting 1:1 odds to call here so its a mathematically correct fold?

I'm unsure of how these things work.

Cheers!

you're getting 2:1. there's 200 in the pot and its 100 for you to call.

Mods please move if this is in the wrong section

Basically I'm a micro stakes player and had been doing fairly well (around 10% roi) playing on fulltilt, after black friday I kinda stopped playing poker for a few months but recently I've began playing again but seem to have changed my playing style without noticing and my ev line is now heading downwards, I'm trying to get to the bottom of this and have been looking at my stats in hem to try help, just wondering if anyone could comment on the differences between these two sets of stats, how they can manifest themselves in game, if the sample size is relevent or not and basically just put the stats into words? top set is from fulltilt and bottom from post bf, thanks in advance to anyone that helps.
