Hey guys its my first post here
Happy to be here!

So I just played a 3,50$ SnG HU at Pokerstars and this hand came up.

My Stack: 2100
Opponents:900
Blinds: 15/30

Im on the button and raise to 2,5BB with Ac8s - 75.
He reraises to 210 and I call.

His three bet range preflop is every ace or two brodway cards JQ KQ QJ etc.
And some high suited connectors and higher pocket pairs.

Flop

As 5s 9s

Since theres already 420 in the pot and he has something like 700 left i go all in.
I thought if he has a pocket pair hes gonna call and if he has a better ace he doesnt have to have a spade so i also would have a flush draw. Even if he calls with a K high flushdraw im a fav.

He calles with Ah3c and I win.

Was it the right move to go all in there or too risky?
What would you do there?

Thx a lot

preflop i prefer either a shove or fold depending on how often he's 3betting. i would also minraise pre instead of 2,5x.

i don't hate your play on the flop, because you may fold out some flushdraws which we would prefer to fold out rather than have them stick the rest of their stack in. however, this is a $3.50 and i'd imagine most people at this level would snapcall with any decentish , so i think c/r AI on the flop is better, at least that gives him a chance to bluff/stack off with worse (i.e. he might fold a 5 or 9 to your jam, but may b/c them himself).

As hero is on the button a c/r AI would be a pretty difficult move to perform. :-)

4b shove pre. As played, don't just open shove the flop, you fold out all his bluffs.

aha, whoops

well presuming villain checked the flop i prefer making a 2/3-3/4 pot cbet instead o' jamming

minraise pre at that depth.

as played, 4b jam vs the range you put him on. Overall 4b should be fine unless he's been really nitty with 3b at which point flatting will be fine.

As played on flop, just cbet.

I think we can get away with a slightly bigger (than half pot) cbet, but considering stacks betting something like 190 to try to get a decent amount of flats and c/r (that we call). Pot will still be big enough to jam turn betting smaller than half pot and it might induce a wider range than betting like 210 or 250.

I think you're definitely losing value by jamming flop--there are a lot of hands like KqTs that might fold to a jam but will call a 190 and fold non spade turns (or gii behind when they pair up). Like all you're getting called when you jam is by other Ax, which for the most part you're behind since he 3b.

Considering that his 3bet range is this wide I would shove A8o here all day every day

I just thought that if he has something like KQ with a K high flush draw he still could be folding and I didnt want him to lock at another card i just wanted to end it right there.

Preflop i probably should have pot him allin...

But if i just call like i did i should have bet 3/4 of the pot on the flop i think now.
If he has a draw hes gonna have to pay a lot to see the next card and i still can shove on the turn right?
Thx for your comments btw
