Hi there,

I need the advice of some successful 9 handed Sit 'N Go players.

I play 3,50$ & 7,00$ Sit 'N Gos. I have 3 Monitors. Usually I play 8 tables the same time - 4 each screen. At the moment I start with 4 tables on the first screen and join 4 more tables on the 2nd sreen when the blinds on the tables from the first screen are around 50/100 or 75/150. Thing is, when I play less than 4 tables and get bad beats I start tilting. When I play around 8 tables I don't start tilting, but I don't have the best possible read on my opponents. So this my problem.

Too less tables --> gettin annoyed fast and start tilting when getting bad beats
Too many tables --> I loose the overview and fail to steal blinds regarding to the way my opponents play, loose the read of many players what causes troubles on playing as good as I could.

I do use Hold'Em Manager, this is a help in some cases.

Just hoping for some advice on this matter. Hopefully you can understand of what I am talking. Thanks for every post!

Why not ask the guys who actually play 9-handed SNGs?

The reason u don't tilt when u play 8 tables but do so playing 4 is because u r too busy at 8 tables (which is, I presume, your upper limit for tables). U have no problems handling 4 tables and thus your mind is more able to be consciously aware of the bad beats and thus tilt more.

I used to be like u. Answering 1) is sufficient. It's all tilt control, that's it. The solution is NOT to play 8 tables to overcome this problem cuz, say your upper limit becomes 16 tables, then u will begin to tilt at 8 tables. U dig?

work on getting better at poker before putting in volume. 1-3 tables is best imo when playing $3 STTs. Work on learning which forum to post in.

stack tables so you don't see how the hand played out because another table will be on top.

start a session with a goal of how many SNGs you will play your best poker. if you 8-table and bust in one, start another one until you are done. after session you may look at your HEM stats and go on tilt about your under EV score but then you're not in a hand, so your bankroll isn't affected by this tilt.

also, forget about reads for now. you play micro stakes SNGs. you can beat them just by playing decent poker because most of your opponents will play worse than you.

With stacking, I feel like a robot; it's one hand at a time and I can never get a flow for the games. Cascading is just crazy! With tile tables, I find I get a general overview of what's going on on all tables even tho I'm not specifically focused on each table (a subconscious thing I guess). This is my biggest issue with stacking. But for OP's thoughts, I guess stacking would work. Personally, tile>>stacking>>>>>>>>cascading.
