villan played like 90% of his hands and raised preflop half of them, very spewey player overall
i was determined to get this hand all the way against him.i checked the turn because i know he s gonna be behinf 70-80% of the time, and i think he will bluff 50% of the time he s behind.if i had bet 400-600 on the turn only smthing that beats me will call.

good thinking or bad thinking?

and i probably shuld have cbet bigger.

I would raise even bigger pre - like 335.

If he is spewy I would also cbet higher as you said MIN 300, but I'd do like 375.

Ace is obviously the punishment for small raise on the flop.

IMO they are rarely bluffing when they shove at the river. [he prolly has weak ace or even set as they like to minraise that pre, by shoving at the river they say: "Hey look I'm bluffing because you know that I don't have a straight so you can call me!" and he can show you the set, and as you did not raise the river he may think that his Ace is good] - or maybe I'm just overvaluing 5$ fish?

Villain dependent: you could raise the turn and fold to the shove sometimes.

How often were you 3betting him pre?
How often does he fold to the 3bet pre?
What is he minraising pre?
:You have to answer yourself what could he have in his hand.

P.S. when you are writing your post choose "advanced" option and paste your hands here as 2p2 has the converter.

I guess you should have raised preflop higher, like 350 or even higher.
The CBet on the Flop is in my opinion way to small, I'd bet 400 mininmum!

The Turn is of course not a very nice card and on the 5$ I guess you can raise here really like 1/3 Potsize to get him to fold, if he doesn't hold the Ace. If he calls, I would c/f the River, if he raises I just would easy fold.

Also he could have hit the straight with a 4 in his holecard (maybe he has a pair of fours?) so I think you have to fold here.

If he is that spewy I'doing much more than 300 pf, ~450 or shove, and commit on the flop. No need to get tricky with ******s on any level... they are there just to donate LOL
