Kind of a small sample, but I would say villain is Laggish.

- he calls fairly wide oop - he has called 4/4 of my button opens (3x raise)
- 3x's wide otb - he has opened 6/5 of his buttons
- He can get it in light, might have the propensity to overplay hands
eg: 3rd hand, 60bb deep, villain 3x with 77, I 3x 3bet to 180, villain 4bets to 540 and calls my shove. Villain loses a flip.
The next hand after this, he calls a a 2.5x raise oop with 56o 30bb's deep, and donks 1/2 pot on a 864cc flop, and shoves over a 3x raise (he binked 2 pair on the turn).

-he has c/r'ed 2 of my cbets:
-c/r a 1/2 pot cbet on a JT2ss flop from 60-160, turn As and he bets 320/440
- huge c/r vs a 1/2 pot cbet on a Q28cc flop (60- 300).
- i barreled him 2nd hand on a J24cc, Turn A, river 8c - he donk/led the flop small for 240/560 - I folded (so, we have yet to see a show down besides the pots we stacked off in)

13 hands in.

Hero (BTN/SB): t1390 46.33 BBs
BB: t1610 53.67 BBs

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BTN/SB with T T
Hero raises to t75, BB calls t45

Flop: (t150) K J 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t90, BB calls t90

Turn: (t330) 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: (t330) 2 (2 players)
BB bets t330, Hero?

Probably a pretty common spot, but do we cbet here or check behind and bluff catch? Delayed cbet?
What about river? Personally dont know if he would bet that amount with Kx, though it makes sense if he had a 2x. Jx wouldn't make any sense at all (personally think he might of had Jx or an inducing flush in the last hand/read i mentioned where I barrelled).

Thanks

I'd call river. Seems like the villain that stabs rivers when turn checks. I'd expect him to have Ax, T9, Qx, 7x, busted flush draws a large part of the time.

Against this type of villain it depends. By betting turn you're usually getting a free showdown which is nice, but by checking turn you let him bluff river. I think the 2 is one of the best cards in the deck for you because he's going to bluff thinking you have a K or a J (villain doesn't seem smart enough to realize hero def. Bets turn with a J or K).

i personally check back flop. lets you control the potsize more and opens up the range of hands you beat.

Thanks, I agree with checking back the flop and regretted cbetting after the fact

If we are c-betting the flop, we have to continue with a bet on the turn with this board texture... It is too easy for villain to be floating with some kind of draw that will fold to a second barrel.

Yeah. If you cbet, you have to bet turn, esp vs a lag, because your hand is face up here. He thinks you will fold a j, or underpair to a k, because that is exactly what you repped here.

So, am i turning my hand into a bluff then? If we make the same assuption that villain will bluff to get us off a J or K then should we consider calling?

It is a protection bet until you are raised...But at that point we need to fold because draws are likely to raise the flop to get to see two cards and if he waits until the turn to raise, he has you beat.
