The villain was a break even player at the lower stakes, he was opening 60% IP, cbetting a high percentage of dry boards and was playing very fit or fold oop.

does this make this a good spot to c/r bluff even though I have no equity? as he is going to have air often on this board and this hits my calling range quite well although I'm not sure whether a breakeven player at the lower stakes would even think about this?

That is a pretty good board to c-bet, even the fishiest players probably know that. I think you would get folds a lot (50%?) of the time there, however I think you want villain's VPIP a bit higher (70-80% maybe) before you start check raising relying on fold equity only.
I think there is a section in the Mersenearry ebook on check raising the flop light, check it out on HUSNG.com.

    Cheers man

Yeah I was thinking about that mersenearrys book when I posted this and the 2 most important factors are the opponents opening range/cbetting range and then how you expect him to play back i.e how passive/aggressive he is. I was thinking that his opening range is high enough, but you're probably right, what do you base the 70-80% on, is it experience or what you've read...?

I don't see how this dry board hits your calling range quite well. When you c/r here you're not repping much for value, Jx and strong draw and that's it.

But this is still a good board to c/r every now and then. That's because he should have missed on this board most of the time, not because you can rep a whole lot of good hands here. Anywhere between 240 to 280 sounds good to me. Against good, thinking player there are more things to consider but that might be beyond this topic.

Ha yeah I see what you mean mela what I meant when I said that is that I am flatting most of my Jx, but yeah I'm not repping much
