I'm selling shares for some smaller live events in Europe in October. I've been playing poker full time for a bit under three years and have made about 65k in the last 10 months in online MTTs since making them my main focus as well as about 50k previously on non-tracked sites. I've won the FTP $163 75k for $25k, Stars $109 125k for $26k, three $55s with > 1k players, Stars $11 40k, etc. I've played about 25 live MTTs >$500, most of them this year, with decent results:

I'm selling about 50%. If I don't sell out by the time I play the first event I'll continue to sell the rest at approximately the same markup (rounded to the nearest reasonable round number).

I'm really not sure how many side events I'll get to play but obviously for any unplayed events I'll just return the money including markup.

As for the taxes, in Europe I don't get automatically taxed as a Canadian like I do in the US. I believe I only get taxed basically the same as anyone else selling in the marketplace, if the country withholds from everyone. I've been told this is rare and haven't seen any notices about it in the details about the tournaments. It looks like the event in Spain is in the clear but I'll do more digging to try to be totally sure.

I've found out from a friend that plays live a lot there's no taxes in Spain and Ireland. I just emailed about the other ones.
