This event is probably the best 100k event of the year in terms of value. Most people expected it to get around 120 entries the last time it ran in 2013, but it exceeded everyones expectations with 166 entries and $4.8 million to the winner. It also had a good mix of businessmen who showed up to play the event. Some of these entries will be Gui's wealthy friends as it is important to him to make sure this is a successful event.

The amount taken out for charity is 5% and there is NO RAKE

During the WSOP I have a pretty strict regimen of workout, yoga, meditation, eating clean, and of course studying poker / going over hands. As a result I usually play my best poker during WSOP and will be in a pretty good zone.

Where did you get the info that it has no rake?

This url ( http://www.wsop.com/2015/structuresh...-structure.pdf ) confirms the 5% charity but this one ( http://www.wsop.com/2015/2015-wsop-schedule.pdf ) says that it has 3% rake aswell.

The first link is what I was going off, never saw the second link. Last time it was no rake as well. Also on the first link it says 105,555 to prizepool which is 95%.


I'm guessing the second link is a mistake but I tweeted at them to clarify. Will post here as soon as I confirm its only 5% taken out.

Just confirmed with Jack Effel on Twitter that the 3% in the second link is a typo. It is indeed 5% to charity and no rake
