Hey everyone,
My name is Dean Blatt and I play under the username blattsmullet on Pokerstars. I'm looking to sell 50% of my WSOP EVENT #45. This event starts in just under 20 hours so will need funds sent before then to be booked. I will be selling at FACE VALUE.

My Background
I live in Melbourne, Australia - I'm 25 years old and have a degree in Commerce and Law. I have been playing poker for 7 years now. At the end of 2012, I decided to put some time and volume into my online MTT game which has been met with some good results both live and online. I keep to a strong play to study ratio. I regularly discuss strategy with high-level players as well as belonging to various training sites. I have done HH reviews with coaches (QuadvQuadMe, abarone68, maxel100) and friends, as well as regularly using the ICMIZER tool. Now that I have finished my degree all of my time, energy and focus goes strictly towards working on and improving my game.
Why You Should Invest
This will be my second trip to Vegas but my first time grinding the entire series. I will be rooming with fellow 2+2’er Nathan Gubieski (Gubii) and we will both be extremely focused on poker during our time in Vegas. We are both going with a mindset of being responsible and playing as optimally as possible – meaning we won’t be partying/drinking the night before a tournament and will ensure we are well rested and eating healthy in order to play our A game.
My Results In 2014
In 2014 I have placed a lot of focus on live MTT’s and have seen some decent results:
$2,200 ANZPT Perth Main – 2nd Place for AU$86,100
$1,650 Aussie Millions Bounty Event – 3rd Place for AU$36,000
$1,100 ANZPT Sydney Six Handed – 1st Place for AU$30,800
$1,100 Aussie Millions Accumulator Event – 12th place for AU$8,600
$1,100 Adelaide Poker Zone Main Event – 8th place for AU$4,150
In all of these tournaments I had either swapped or sold action to people and everyone was promptly paid with no problems.

Verification and Updates
For verification that I have played any particular event, any investor is welcome to ask me to upload a picture of my entry receipt for the tournament and I will do so. I will be posting updates in a rail thread on 2+2.

Payment
Please reserve your share in the thread and send funds IMMEDIATELY as the event starts in 20 hours. I will accept payment via Pokerstars (to blattsmullet) or Paypal (PM me for Paypal address). I need to receive the money before the tournament starts for you to be booked!
Tax Implications
There will be a 30% tax withholding by the WSOP on any cash in any one specific tournament over US$5,000 on top of the buy in (eg: if I play a $1k and cash for $6k) as I am an Australian citizen and there is no tax treaty between the US and Australia. In the event I cash a tournament for less than US$5,000 over the buy-in, investors will receive 100% share of their investment (eg: if I play a $1k and cash for $5k). The 30% withheld will only be on profit (so the buy-in amount is not included). I have discussed with various professional Australian poker players how to go about claiming amounts back once I return to Australia and will attempt to get as much back as possible to redistribute to investors. From what I've been told I should be able to claim most of it back. “As an Australian, you are entitled to lodge a US tax return and can claim back the tax taken from you. You can expect to claim back the expenses you incurred while earning your winnings. The key deductions will usually be tournament buy-ins, airfares, accommodation, car hire, food and drinks.” If you have any questions about the tax situation please feel free to PM me.
Everything outside of the prize pool is my own. I reserve the right to decide whether to play or not play any events at my sole discretion. If event is not played money will be refunded.
