Background:

I'm a full time player (mainly deepstack cash) in New Orleans. I've been playing full time for about 19 months now, after playing part time in some capacity (online and live) for about 8 years previous to the full time jump. I have 2+ years of live poker experience, mostly deepstack cash games, and am a consistent winner at these games (95%+ played in New Orleans). With my experience playing live and my online and live mtt experience, coupled with my study habits away from the table, I’m confident I’m prepared to do well.

Results:

I play live mtts when I can, mainly when the circuit comes to New Orleans, or if there's a series going on within driving distance that I feel like going to. I've only played 18-20 live mtts (not counting any satellites) over the past 2 years. I've cashed 7 of these, including:

Main Event:

This will be my first opportunity to play the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. This buy-in is higher than my normal range, but I'm confident I have an advantage over the average player in this particular $10k buy-in event. I've played 3 other main events in my live mtt career:

$1600 WSOP Circuit New Orleans, May 2014 (busted late on day 1)
$2650 Beau Rivage MDH Main Event, January 2015, 11/198
$800 Beau Rivage Spring Break Poker Classic Main Event, April 2015 (busted early day 2, about 35 away from a cash)

Purchasing options:

I'm reserving 40% of myself right now. However, I may decide to open up more to sell later.

I'm looking to sell at 1.25 mu, with a discounted price of 1.20 with a purchase of at least 5%. Minimum purchase is 1%.

1% = $125
5% = $600
10% = $1200

I currently have 15% sold privately offline.

This will be on a first come, first serve basis. I have text messages, facebook messages, and a tweet sent out, along with having this posted on another forum. Timestamps (U.S. Central time) will determine the order of purchase. If you reserve an amount, I will keep it reserved for up to a week while we discuss a method of payment that works for both of us. Nothing will be officially booked until I get the money and confirm the booking in this thread. I will also update this thread with all investments made on the other forum and offline.

Payment methods:

Once x% is reserved, I will PM you here (unless you PM me first) so we can set up one of the following payment methods:

Chase QP (I'll open an account if this option is popular enough or if someone is buying a large %)

In the event of a cash:

Any net profit above $599 will be withheld until you fill out the proper tax forms supplied by my CPA.

Miscellaneous:

I have not decided which Day 1 I will play. I'll decide as the event gets closer, and I plan to register ahead of time, if possible, to avoid any long waits in line, and so I can be seated on time.

All investors will be kept up to date via twitter updates. If twitter doesn't work for someone, we'll figure out an acceptable method for the both of us.

If I can't play for any reason, your full investment will be returned to you as soon as possible.

I will vouch for Jay. I've swapped action/bought shares/staked/you name it with him over the years without ever having any hiccups. He's a great guy and terrific player.

I have backed Jason in online tournaments/sngs and live tournaments/cash and roomed with him on many poker trips. I can count on one hand the # of people I'd vouch for, and he is one of them. He is as trustworthy and honest as they come, and I feel like his playing style and skillset is perfect to have a high cash rate in this tournament.

Markup kinda steep given limited results

You're entitled to your opinion, but this is essentially the best structured softest event of the entire year. Those who feel it is too steep simply shouldn't and won't invest.

I was very open with everything in my original post. If you don't feel that I'm worth the advertised markup, simply don't invest.

Lol it's the WSOP main event man, a monkey could sell out at this MU imo. And Jason is no monkey - he's a solid, young deep stack NL cash game grinder in Nola who has recently started to have some success in MTTs. He also regularly talks strat with some pretty good MTT/cash grinders as well. I'd say that's a recipe for success and he'll be printing money playing the main event every summer.

Ashly Butler here to vouch for Jason as a very good player and even better person. Kid is a hard worker at poker on and off the felt, he's a great buy at this MU.

I stopped investing and staking a while back but chiming in for one 1% as a show of support and to vouch.

I've both staked and shared strat with Jay over the years. It's a safe good deal.

PS. Jay is a live cash pro. Hard to show stakes for that. I will say we made money together
