I have it written that if the profit is less than $15000 I may deduct taxes. I am planning to speak with Russ Fox on Monday tho to get more tax info for my large WSOP package that is in huge profit, so I will figure all this out then.

So, if there is a large score (over $15k), definitely pre-tax, and I will try to do pretax for any profit, I just don't want to commit for a smallish score if it is going to be incredibly difficult.

tax update: If I cash in the ME, all profits will be paid pre-tax, which means I will need a form W-9 from all of you (not necessary if I don't cash). This also means that all investors will be required to send in this form in the event of a cash.

I request that anyone who does not feel comfortable giving me their real name/tax info withdraw as investors, as I would not be in compliance with US law to send payments to anyone I cannot document. This also means that if I cash and you then refuse to send your tax information, I will have to consider your investment void and I will ship you your stakeback only as I will not break US tax laws or pay double tax for your investment.

Canadians and other non-US citizens whose countries tax treaties require withholding of taxes in the US: in the event of a cash and profits over $600 I will have to withhold 30% and submit IRS form 1042s on your behalf.

US citizens and residents, as well as citizens of foreign countries who do not require withholdings (i.e. most of Europe), I do not have to withhold anything. If your profits are more than $600, I will issue a form 1099 misc.


Cliffnotes: All investors are required to fill out and return to me a form W-9 if I cash in this event. All profits will be returned pre-tax.
