Hey, I'm headed to NJ next weekend to play a few of these tournaments. I haven't played any live poker since Vegas, so pretty excited to get back to it.

I play online mid-high 6m NL full time. In the past few months I've only played 5 10 and 10 20. Volume has been meh but I've been doing a lot of studying.

Hey guys, don't usually do this, but I'm bored so here's a quick recap with bust hands:

On the first entry I busted on the very last hand of the day. 300 600 blinds I have roughly 27k. Squeezed QQ from sb to 5500 over loose rec player cutoff open to 1500 and button call. Opener flats. ~13k pot, 664 with flushdraw. I bet 3500 (think just betting everything here for small with such range advantage) he calls. Turn offsuit 2, decide to check because this guy has stabbed too many hands in past, even ones with lot of showdown (betting small or jamming also seem like decent options), he checks back. River offsuit 7 I jam for a bit under pot and he calls with 64s.

Played 1b the next day, made day 2 with 49k, lost a big pot early on with AQs on a QT flop vs KK in a 3bet pot where I checked back and called 2 small bets. The hand I busted, utg looser reg opens 2200 at 500 1000. I'm in the bb with QQ and 23.5k. Didn't think it made much sense to have a small 3b range here with my stack from the big blind, so I thought either calling or jamming was best. Think it's hard to beat the EV of getting it in AIPF when he always calls 99+ and AK so decided to jam, lost to AK.

The ladies were not kind to me this tournament lol. Think I played very well, was focused and alert the entire time. Didn't really get any cooler spots in my favor, but I'm happy with my decision making process and awareness of tournament/live specific spots that I might have missed due to autopilot in the past. This tournament was incredibly soft (tons of fish, tons of weaker regs), and probably the best structure I've played. Had fun, and thanks guys for investing.
