I'm back but broke and need a back, break the bank and stake me some stack.

Hi all,

I'm hoping to find some backers for WSOP events, all the way down to the 1k level, as well as any $500+ tournaments (comparable rebuy events) or mid-high stakes cash games in Las Vegas where I live. You can keep a 50% profit split after a specified duration of tournaments, or keep 75% profit for individual events. Other arrangements are possible as well. I will sign written agreements, fulfill durational obligations, pay promptly and provide hand info for big pots if you'd like. I'm willing to go on a stake for the long term, even after a big score.

Resume:

-1.73m in lifetime tournament earnings
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=74453

-Less than 400k in buyins. My lifetime rate of investment has been about
500 or 600%.

-"Michael DeMichele is regarded as one of the most talented players on the cash game scene."
-Cardplayer
http://www.cardplayer.com/cardplayer...hael-demichele

What happened to my bankroll?:

-Backers for the 50k Horse (paid them in full)
-Taxes
-Gave a lot to my family
-Bought a home
-Girlfriends
-Some 10k+ tournaments
-Thievery (to me not by me)
-Wasteful living
-Startup businesses
-Not cash games

Where have I been?:

I took a break from poker after building a nestegg in an attempt to do some other things that haven't succeeded as of yet and my money vanished a lot quicker than I thought it would. I'd like to get back into poker to rebuild my depleted funds and work my way back up the ladder. In the past couple of years I've played less than a dozen tournaments, predominantly big buyin (3 10ks, 1 25k, 1 40k) events which I built stacks in most but bubbled. I had 1m in the 25k wpt, 370k in the 40k nl and 75k in both main events. My stack dwindled to set over set in the wpt but I didn't play well late in the 40k. Shortly prior to this poor run, I had placed 8th in bellagio wpt 15k. As you can tell, I didn't go out at the top of my game in tournaments, but I had booked the biggest wins of my career in cash games without losses right before taking a breaking from those without losing it back.

The only time I've been backed in my career was for the 50k Horse which made them all very pleased and was a very positive experiece. I'd really like to perform well for the next backers and hopefully keep my winrate going. Most of the tournaments that I've played in my career were in the 5k+ buyin range, as I was primarily a ring game player. If sustainable, this could make my roi higher in smaller buyin events. If you're interested, offers are well welcomed here in this thread or in private message. I'm cool with meeting in person, receiving checks, or wire transfers. I'll gladly return phone calls for number droppers as well.

Feel free to post gossip, inquiries, MD ms busto paints, me on bad hair days and pictures of astronaut kitties.

Just put up a tourney package of all the events you want to play and people would probably be more interested.

Follow this template for the "2011 FULL-SCHEDULE" and im sure heaps of people would buy. Including myself, probably at 75/25.

So you are looking at two options:

a) Post a package on this forum - 2p2 style - by laying out a specific schedule you'd like to play and use the markup system.

or

b) find a full time backer who will put you into tournaments over a specific period of time.

Thanks for the advice on the schedule stuff. I think the following events yield the best equity return for investors. Of course I'd really like to be put into the more expensive events, but your EV is much higher for these. If you'd like to put me in an event that you don't see on this list just let me know and I'll gladly play it. In the past, I didn't like playing events on little sleep or when I thought my concentration would suffer before the end of a long day. For the better of your investment, if I'm not able to make a scheduled 1k or 1.5k event, I will let you know of the cancellation the day of. I'll then play a 1k or 1.5k later on and will let you know prior to it beginning via twoplustwo pm that I am playing this event for your action.

In the event of a bust, I will send you a picture of the tournament receipt before mid-July, so that you are assured I played the event that you had funded me for.

If you fund an event that has no comparable substitute such as the main event, the 1.5k/3k/10k horse, the 1.5k 7cs8, etc, I will do everything in my efforts to make sure that I make the event with sound rest and concentration. If I have to cancel, I will inform you that day and you will have the option for me to either return the funds to you (most likely by check or in person), or you can substitute that event for another one of your so choosing that hasn't already been purchased by another backer.

5/31 1.5k
6/2 1.5k

6/14 1.5k (7cs8b)
6/16 1.5k (5pm horse)

The minimum amount that I will receive per person is 1k. (Sorry, I know a lot of people like to buy 1-5%)

Offer:

A) Events are each funded individually (you may fund as many as you'd like.) You earn 75% of profit + the buyin amount. I keep 25% of profit. (prize minus buyin)x(.25). I think this means MarkUp=1.25?

B) You invest in a minimum of 2 tournaments, to as many as you'd like, with capital up front. At the completion of the funded schedule, you and I will each keep 50% of the profits. (total prize minus total buyins.)x(.50). For instance, if you send me 7.5k to play in five 1.5k events, I will play all five and then I will send you 50% of the profits. You will likely be given the option to invest with me in further tournaments, or to keep all of your earnings.

C) I will gladly consider a new, unique offer, or will receive a smaller percentage of profits for bigger buyin events with more difficult fields.

Option A is better for those looking to buy 1 to a few events, and option B is better for those who'd like to fund several events.

You will receive a w2g or 1099 in the amount for the size of the check(s) I send you. That's taxes for you. You can offset your losses against your w2g/1099.

Thanks for reading, tell your potentially interested friends.

I res 10k worth at 1.25. This mean that I get 80% cut, not 75%. Is that cool?
