I'm look for like a 1/2 game around nyc but don't wanna get scammed , I can always go to ac and play but that's a 40 trip and I will be pretty much down 20 bb already , I wanna start building a bankroll so I can play more events in the future and not have it come out of my own pocket .
Any one play in these types off games ,how is the action usually ,it normaly plays bigger then a 1/2 am I right ?
If u even know some where in nyc that host a 1/2 game let me know .

Sent you a PM. Its true, a lot of the games around NYC just arent worth playing in due to being poorly run, shady, or having a high rake.

There are well run, safe games with a fair chop that are worth playing in, as well as more sporadic home games which play smaller. But its hard to figure out whats what without actually going and playing, unless you knew a guy who had been playing around the city for years and had done the work for you...

It continues to be beyond hysterical how this forum is the Home poker forum, but 95% of the games advertised are illegal raked games.

The rakes in Long Island are comical, and the average age at most Long Island 1/2 clubs is about 22
