Rooms for Rent in Baller House in Bangkok, Thailand Rooms for Rent in Baller House in Bangkok, Thailand

I'm "Barry O'Sullivan" on facebook (scuba_baz@hotmail.com). I'm definitely serious but April / May is far enough away that I wouldn't want to commit right now (I might hit up Europe or something instead). But if I'm doing nothing in particular in April I think it'd be a fun time. I use MSN messenger too but I know most Americans use AIM.

You can find a TON of places to crash and gring in bangkok from $10 (backpack packer type stuff) to $50 (nice midrange hotel).

So the two rooms will both be available around May 1st (give or take a week). Anyone interested should shoot me a PM. First two people to put deposits down that we get along with will get it. Let me know if you have any questions... will post a few updated photos later this week.

Also should update the internet connection. It is 2mbps as that was the highest we could get here. It is pretty stable, perhaps dropping connection an average of 15 seconds per day which isn't fantastic but not bad at all for a middle economic country. I'm currently working on getting a backup connection of some sort.

We also have a maid coming 3 times a week (price included in rent) who will do the heavy cleaning of surfaces/bathrooms. You are still responsible for cleaning your own dishes/trash/room/desk which should be obvious.

Is it possible to rent less than 1 month? 2-3 weeks?
03-06-2009 , 09:34 AM
Adam,

I am very interested in renting a room in August/September for three/four months. Tell those guys heading over in May that they have a maximum of 4 months

Probably not. I mean you could, but you would still have to pay for a month. I'm just not thrilled with having to search for new people every month.

They can rent for as long as they want, though I'd say most people (myself excluded) don't really stay in Thailand that long so you have a decent shot of something being available then.

Live poker would be frowned upon in a country with pretty strict anti-gambling laws.

There is always Macau a few hours plane ride away.

I should also mention the house has been blessed by a buddhist monk for to be increasing the auspiciousness of all residents therein. Massive +EV.

Are you the guys in this..

If so, I want in!

which i had seen this thread before i was in tahiland last week damn it!! whats the deal with dogs in the house i was already looking inot moving to thailand this year wud be cool to come over and check things out for 6 months beforre i invest??
pretty much if i can bring my dog with me i am pretty interested in coming over from australia for 6-9 months
03-07-2009 , 04:47 PM
Let me think about the dog thing. I'm assuming small dog since the backyard isn't very big. I definitely like dogs but it needs to be trained/quiet and taken care of by you. Even then, I'd have to check with the landlords.

sparky,

If you are serious, let me know and I can find out.

All,

One of the rooms is now taken. There is only one bedroom left now and it is available starting May 1st.

1 thousand a month is pretty sick, definitely interested.

i need to know though, if their will be smokers in the house, both cigarettes and _____
you know. pm me please so i know.

also, i need to know what atleast you and coxquinn look like. so please either post pics of you in here or pm me/.

again this is serious question, and i do expect it to be taken seriously.

nice house. everything else pretty much has been answered, however if the rooms should become available i will get further info from you as needed.

thanks, nice pad.

None of us smoke cigarettes or weed. If you wanted to do whatever, that's fine by me but you have to do it outside. I'd join in the occasional joint and possibly cigarette, but you won't find an everyday smoking companion here.
03-08-2009 , 02:18 AM
i'm asking, because i quit smoking weed, and i basically do not want to be around or pressured into by those who do. i mean, i don't mind, but what i was asking you answered. i don't want a houseful of potheads.

are you taking advance apps for may now, or what?
03-08-2009 , 02:24 AM
Yeah no one here smokes then if that is what you are asking.

PM me your facebook name or something and I'll add you. We are looking at people now and booking the rooms ASAP. The 3rd of 4 bedrooms just taken (the guy just put his deposit down) and the 4th goes to the first person who doesn't seem crazy that ships their deposit.
03-08-2009 , 08:51 AM
I'm really excited about this. Also, for any ladies thinking about snatching up that 4th bedroom. I am super awesome and dangerously handsome. Shoot me a PM and I can tell you all about Thailand and answer any questions you have.

[x] Suuuuuuper sick house.
03-09-2009 , 06:18 PM
SO SICK, I've just booked a long holiday to Thailand about a fortnight back starting on May 1st. This would have been right up my street and all my friends tell me I'm a likeable guy

Anyway gl and I'm glad to read its working out for you.

Since it was asked via PM, the TV in the loft has a black box now and gets every channel available (MTV, CNN, ESPN, BBC, etc). I don't have a complete list but could if someone was really curious.

Your post with 20 pictures that has nothing to do with OP or his house? Yes, it was kinda' lame. That's why it was deleted.

It might fit well in the Travel forum.

I sleep fine, thanks. If you can't understand why someone else would have requested we delete a post with 20+ pictures that slows the loading of this thread down for a lot of people, I don't know what to tell you. Your post was reported, and since it had absolutely no value, I thought the request to delete it was reasonable. There's lots of great threads where people would be happy to BS about your pictures and such things, but this really isn't the forum for that sort of thing.

Edit to add: And don't be shocked if I delete our back-and-forth here later, as we're really derailing this thread.

Bump it up. Also, I'd really like to find someone who is willing to stay on for more than just one month this time since I'll be doing some travel during May/June and finding new tenants and having people move in/out would be a big headache.

At this point in time I'm really looking only people who can commit to May/June and go month-to-month beyond that for the last spot available.
