Each person pays 1/4 of utilities, regardless of occupancy. Last month was our most expensive month for utilities ever and they were:

• Electricity: 10,800
• True Internet: 1904
• TOT Internet: 1177
• Water: 209
• Garbage: 480
• Maid groceries: 2200

So utilities cost around 4,000 Baht per person per month.

Average is probably 2-3 nights a week, but some go out 4-5 nights a week and others maybe just once a week.

Yes. Each renter is allowed to have one other person sleeping over or even living in the house with them.

It's possible to play MTT's. Since having the dual connection, the Internet went out late one night recently on both TOT and True for a couple hours. This was the first time it's ever happened. So it's very possible to play MTTs and I'd still say very unlikely to cut out, but having a backup "go-to" spot is still a good idea.

Not much at all, but I've lived in Buenos Aires before and traveled a lot.

Really fun, fairly wild for a house party. As I expected, once someone safely jumped form the roof/balcony into the pool everyone was doing it. I obv didn't take any pictures of anything-- but I'll get some and post them here.

Cool I'm from Portland, OR - lived there my whole life.

Yes. The Internet *rarely* cuts for long enough to get DC'd and fold hands. (maybe once a month?). Now our Internet is about as reliable as Comcast High-Speed Cable Internet . The last time there was an issue is when the power went out in our entire neighborhood while Mark was still in one tournament.

After that incident I bought USB air cards/SIM cards so that everyone has a wireless GPRS backup-backup Internet. It's pretty slow (.3mbit) but works well enough for just poker. Obv this solution only works w/ laptops and sadly, not compatible w/ Vista 64-bit.

I think anyone will tell you in the Internet in Thailand is playable, especially in Bangkok. However if you are playing SNGs then perhaps the backup Internets we have are even more valuable.

To make the interest list even more clear please now include the date you added yourself to the list. If no space opens in September and we are now in October, for example, then I will first offer the spot to first on the October list (5/25). If they do not respond within 24 hours, then I'll go back up to first and second on the list for September (6/3) and (6/14) since they added their name before second on the list for October (6/16).

Basically, you should put your name down for the first month you'd like and after that I'm assuming you are still interested. Overall date joined trumps your position by month.

not sure if you have the answer for this, but after what amount of time would a US citizen need any sort of extended visa to stay?

For US Citizens: I'm 99% sure as long as you leave the country when your visa expires (by air) you can come back as many times as you'd like on either another 30 day visa on arrival or a 60 + 30 day extension type you have to apply for at a Thai consulate office.

Any idea for UK citizens. I live in the states with a green card, still carry a UK passport.

Looks to be same as USA, you can get a Tourist visa allowed up to 30 days with "Visa Exemption" and/or apply to get a 60 day + 30 day extension tourist visa.

If you are planning to stay longer you might also even want to look into the possibility of a one year non-immigrant visa obtained from Hull...I don't know anything about this however.
