I speak of this from experience. It has happened to me (for $1500 item) and this is the route I was advised to take. I sent the item back, contacted the seller saying I wanted a refund since he had both the money and the item, the seller told me to **** off (in nicer words), I contacted sellers local police department, spoke with their investigations unit, and was contacted about a week later from the same detective saying he has brought it to the sellers attention. Sure as **** a week later I receive the $1500.

Believe what you want I've done a lot of dealing with online buying/selling and I know I am correct with what I say here.

Make it simple for everyone here and do the right thing.

Doubt Ben wants to send it back without 1.1k in hand, i dont blame him there
like just ban me from the Mp than sorry Ben I wish i had 1.1k atm id snap buy it back and make **** right but atm i do not have it. Id like to apologize to all my fellow 2p2ers this was not my intention to force a sale I did think it was a 17inch i made a honest mistake . Like i tried to give him back 225 and work out payments but he refused and he has every right to therefore it is what it is and ill have to live with the consequences of it sorry ben dont know what else to say

doggz- i do wanna make things right but dont have 1.1k man i really didnt think there would be an issue with this sale, honestly

Im over this situation really am sucks **** had to end this way for me on this site .

for one if he did send it back id never accept it , id re ship it back to him or hold on to it and give the dective the computer. Period its not like he didnt get the computer in the picture he got the exact same computer , i mean if you wanna be civil about what would a judge say well as a buyer its your responsibility to look up the product and as a seller its wrong to false advertise, look at the way cars are sold

As I said believe what you will. It's clear you aren't trying to make things right in any way shape or form. Enjoy reputation as a scammer sir.

i am tryin to make things right but i dont have 1.1k to rebuy it back
why i opted to ben for compromising but thats been like pulling teeth and he has every right to decline , but not much i can do I did ship him the computer in the photos
12-31-2012 , 06:08 PM
no its clearly like pulling teeth with you... He has given you the option to pay back $400 IN PAYMENTS FOR 2 MONTHS... and he will keep a laptop he doesn't want.

HE HAS GIVEN YOU OPTIONS and YOU REFUSE ALL OF THEM.
12-31-2012 , 06:16 PM
Options not selling the computer for 800 bucks
12-31-2012 , 06:20 PM
Talking to ben now this will be resolved tonight
12-31-2012 , 06:23 PM

Ben isnt going to be "completely satisfied". And you dont seem to wanna meet any of his requests, so Im just assuming your convo tonight will be pointless as well as your side will be "sorry im not sending you 300, deal with it" and Ben wont be happy. Either way, if you dont get banned you dont deserve to be able to sell again because your a huge pain in the ass if something goes wrong.

Mods, there is no reason everything cant be public. Dont PM this clown
12-31-2012 , 08:07 PM
op and i have come to an agreement. he is going to repay me $300 and he has 3 months to do so from today. wish it didnt have to get all out of hand like this, but i am hopeful that everything will work out in the end

I'm pretty sure in the screenshot you posted, for the advanced info on the left part of the pic that is cut off. There is a option to view the display size of the screen.

Should have just looked at that instead of measuring the screen. I can see why the guy wants a discount because the size of the screen is really important for multi tabling as an online poker player.

hope you guys work it out.
if you hit more info on this pic the 1st thing it will say is "Macbook Pro 17-inch"

A good rule to live by is not to deal with buyers/sellers with horrid grammar.

Just my 2c

Just coming in to post that I know claude somewhat, and have had heartfelt talks with him and he seems like a very respectable guy IRL.

This guy wins thread.

OP.

I FEEL SORRY FOR YOUR KIDS.

all you have is your words so use them wisely. if you were honest about being cash broke right off the bat, sorry for the mistake, you two might have become friends.

making bold blanket statements is looking for trouble. wisen up

there is one policy in poker and on this site. make sure whoever u do business with is happy.

"hey im going to tell you im selling something for a price but really send you something different but its ok because it sells for whatever price on ebay"

Marketplace approval removed, at least for the time being. We'll be discussing this in the mod forum.
