Any interest in Niagara Falls Canada Poker house? - Page 2 - General Marketplace -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Yeah I've been looking at St. Catherines. I'd like a furnished place, but am having trouble finding any that aren't just 1-bedrooms or whatever. Kinda resigned that I might have to lug some stuff up there, or find some furniture in the area for cheap.

I'll have a car. I'm open to places more in the Falls, someone just suggested somewhere that Catherines was good. I'll be mostly playing online but I'd like to go to the casino some, I'm not picky where I end up as long as it's in the general area and isn't a ****hole.

Whats up guys... I usually post on p5s, but they dont have any kinda marketplace, so I am here looking for a place to stay in Canada... Im pretty much down with anything from Windsor over to the niagra area. I want to move Between Jul 1 and Aug 1, and stay for the full 180 days...

Id prefer to join a poker house rather than start my own.. I am really looking to get something locked up in the next week or so at the latest..

Im a low mid stakes grinder $11 45s, $12 18mans, $15 ABI for MTTs, used to play alot of 50nl, and had just started playing 50nl rush....

I'm looking to join a poker house as well. My lease at my current apartment in Washington D.C. ends around July, as does my current internship, so I want to take a shot at moving to Canada. I turn 23 in August, graduated from the University of Maryland last year, and I'll be playing mid stakes MTTSNGs at least initially, though I'd also want to play some live 1/2 and eventually 2/5 every now and again. I have a car and would just bring up all my stuff from D.C.

Are you looking for long, or short-term? Giving priority to people planning on the full 6 months (or more).

I am looking for the full 6 months at least..I was thinking if it's going well and nothing has changed on the U.S. legal front I would also look into signing up for a class or two at a cheap community college if that would get me a student visa, but that is a thought for the future.

Sounds good jlevu. That's my plan too haha. Student visa if things go well. Unofficial yes for you makes four, I've sent a few links of places to our guy in Canada to start looking at in the next couple of weeks.

ur probly better off getting 5-6br just cuz the rent in the area is so cheap. ur not paying much more /person and u can use a bedrm or 2 for computers. just my 2 cents. i'll be following this thread.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. If we get a 6-bedroom it'd just be good for more space, maybe use the 5th as guest bedroom for shorter-term roomies on occasion. Six might be a bit much, I think four/five sounds ideal too.

Yeah but our expenses would also be unnecessarily higher...I mean I wouldn't mind it, especially if it's like the difference between 450 and 500 a month, but if it's like a 150+ price diff per person just to have an extra room in the house, I don't think it's worth it. But if it's real cheap like zocket it saying, then it's fine with me.

Btw, how close are the areas you're looking at to the nearest casinos?

Edit: nvm just looked, niagara casino is like 20-30 minutes away depending where.

weasel i liked the spot near the beach. I think that'd be pretty cool.

Awesome that this actually got going. Try and stay as close to the falls as possible, I promise you will have tons to do if you stay close. The casinos poker rooms always have terribad tourists all three of them.

Also hit up the Buffalo night life in chippewa, it should be a 20 minute drive, friday and saturday nights your best bet for that.

Also an hour drive to toronto depending where you stay, have fun all and if you have any questions dont hesitate as im familiar with the area.

I am a 50NL Rush grinder, was on the verge of moving up to 100NL prior to BF (NOT a thinly veiled brag btw). I live in Pittsburgh and I'm looking to spend 3-4 days a week in Niagara Falls starting July 1 to grind online.

Has anyone moved to Niagara Falls and successfully transfered account info on PS/FT? Time period from sending info to playing?

LOL, there's enough interest for at least two houses at this point probably. Anyone interested can PM me their email, I think I'm gonna compile a more general email list for everyone so people looking to do this can coordinate with each other easier.

If things for some reason didnt work out with the niagra house id be down for windsor.. I was initially looking at windsor, but I usually post p5s, and apparently dont have enough posts to start a thread in 2+@ marketplace...
