What bluffs does he have?

I don't know about the turn raise since his betting range is crushing you but I think it is an easy fold OTR

Yh, I agree. I misplayed it.

Yeah, pretty disappointed in myself after reflecting on how I played. I obviously wasn't playing the best of my game. However, only a few hands were "key hands" that I misplayed and I can point to them for a decent bit of my losses (~$300-400). Which, is a huge deal and they are somewhat semi-coolers/bad spots. I know I played some other spots very well and in several spots I got coolered. But, nevertheless half of yesterdays losses can be pointed to as bad plays for sure.

That being said, what was the cause of my bad play? Tired, had been drinking, tilted from my run bad, etc. Which is pretty awful from my POV because I feel my mental game is my biggest edge and so it is really disappointing to know that it has deteriorated due to running and playing poorly. It's easier to have a strong mental game when you are winning, you know? I definitely think my mental game is still pretty good, but obviously there is much room for improvement.

So, basically, my goal is to continue to be proactive in trying to get some volume in and to do some more sweat sessions and maybe some work off the tables. I'll be playing at 50nl until I get my roll back up to $2500 (It's around 2k right now). And then I'll play some more 100nl. The lower stakes will give me some time to practice playing my A game as well.

I'm still extremely confident in my game still, and honestly think I can still beat 100nl for a decent clip even when I'm playing my C-game, so that just goes to show how badly I feel I'm running, and the lack of volume always amplifies the mental effects that a down swing can have.

I'll be sure to post some hands from my ****ty sessions lately too. Stay tuned!

Goals:

1. Volume
2. A-game more often
3. Concentrate more
4. Stay conscious of mental game

Did you really find the streams that entertaining? Just curious. And if so, why/what reasons, etc.

I only saw about 20 mins of a stream but bookmarked it not knowing they get deleted after a week or whatever. So I'm kind of tilted cause I expected to be able to watch more. Mostly I just wanted to check out the state of the games but your style of play was fun to watch.

Sorry about the needle on you continuing to play after a downswing btw, its just that never seems to end well.

The stream was pretty ass backwards because my internet ended up not being good enough for me to stream, so I was on skype with a friend of mine and he was streaming the screen share, because of that, I don't stream much.

Played 2 tables of 100nl for about 1 hour. I played pretty well and some fish were happy enough to donate some cash to me.

4-tabled 100nl about 2.5hr total. I feel I played really well although most spots weren't interesting/hard etc. so seemed pretty simple. Had a great hand vs. fish and I don't remebmer the exact run out but I 3b AcJx and flop came like Kc9cX, i cbet OOP (in SB I think vs CO) and fish flat, turn 10c and I bet smallish, 1/2p, and he jammed. I had just enough equity to sigh-call and he ended up having AxJc lol. club otr and I won!

+$224

BR: $2,427

So, today won almsot $500, pretty solid!

i dont doubt theres some runbad but i think youre tilting more than anything. probaly should take a few days away from playing and just relax, maybe end your "month" long hiatus or so and smoke a little greenery this weekend, much better than the drinking youve been doing! Obviously some play bad, but not playing is just another form of tilt. I need to drink less, and I don't smoke weed. Definitely trying to stay concentrated at the tables.

                                Thanks though!

Played four tables of 50nl and got around 800 hands of volume in (very good for me). Nothing happened the whole session. One interesting hand where I had 99 in SB and 3b a btn open to 10bb, reg in BB 4b to 25bb and btn folded. I had like a 20% 3bet over 90 hands and reg had been there entire time so thought he could easily have 4b bluffs here and I shoved thinking his calling range is AK/QQ+ and if he has some 4b bluffs like A2-A5s then I think this is fine and shoving is probably better since I'll be making too many mistakes postflop if I flat + sizing is kinda large. GII vs KK and sucked out (always nice).

                                +$11

                                BR: $1,819

50nl obviously softer than 100nl, so should make money back quick

thought u said in another thread u hadnt smoked in a month? lol musta been some1 else, maybe im too blazed myself today. i didnt notice too much of a difference in opponents skill level when i jumped from 50-100nl but that was quite awhile ago. curious as to why you think not playing is another form of tilt, if you are currently tilting you think its better to keep playing as opposed to takin a break and workin on your game off the felt?
                                06-18-2015 , 11:21 PM
                                I've smoked weed like twice.

If running bad or good prevents you from wanting to play it costs you $$$ for sure. I feel my game is very solid and good when I'm in the right mindset although I definitely bluff in spots thinking my opponents are capable of folding X, Y or Z, only to call with H that isn't even in the range I assign them or the opposite, bluff-catching in a spot where people should have lots of bluffs and finding out people just don't bluff there enough. I've actually been playing too good vs. my opponents in some sense, and really need to remove a lot of balancing river bluffs from my range as I really think people are over calling some (most) spots. Also, working off the table is, of course, always good.

Anyways, getting in volume has always been my biggest weakness, so working on that, especially during a downswing I think is beneficial. I mean, my buddy fatnsweaty sweated me the other night where I lost 600 some and I'm sure he'd tell you I'm running like crap. It's not just EV, its just in general. Lots of coolers and bad run outs and lack of value from my good hands. The low volume that I get just makes it feel like it lasts forever or that it is actually worse than it is, but the truth of the matter is I'm only down about 12 BI since my swing started and EV-wise I'm barely down. So, I just want to grind through this and start on the up and up again. Part of the reason for having to move down is because I cashed out $4k since the beginning of the year too, which slows the progress of me moving up stakes and also forces me to move DOWN stakes in a situation such as this. So that definitely doesn't help me on the up and up.

Clearly not, although that was BB vs BTN vs Iso and I had a >20% 3b at the table so I thought it was ok, but in both cases I was wrong. They aren't spots I usually GII with.

Anyways, in the JJ hand on previous page if I assume his calling range is QQ+, AK I have about 40% equity, so after my 4b (which is too small btw), if I have something like 5-10% fold equity with my 6b jam or he calls with AQ its +EV/BE

While my game has no doubt changed, it highly depends on the stakes for the red line as I'm assuming that is what you are referencing. After moving back down to 50nl I'm quite confident I will no longer be having a + red line as people are calling down too much and there are way to many multi-way flops.
