Just ignore all the b.s in here, people so condescending and then wander why games are tougher and there’s less recs.

Do what you do with money you can afford to lose so it can be fun, fully avoid the mid stakes cash because it’s all bum hunting nit bitches

Just play turbo tournaments and when you have time bounty tournaments where the playing field is leveller and you at least have a chance!

Good luck

I have come to a very simple yet profound conclusion regarding my life. And that is, I like my life a lot better without poker than I do with it. I liked my life better during the period before I found poker than the period after. I liked my life a lot better during the period after black Friday where I didn't play for a few years far more than the last several years where I have played all the time. And I like the vision of the future without poker in it far more than any vision of the future with it.

So, with regards to the game of poker, to quote Nick the Greek, "I'm going to have to let you go..." My life will be better for it.

If you get the urge to play poker again just try to remember how you feel now and that you're better off with out it.

Good luck with everything!!!

That was very well said Outlaw. Great perspective.
I'm glad for you, good luck.
You'll find something else to fill the void that you might feel in the beginning, I'm sure.
Some people in poker live in a bubble op. They think everything in life is measured in poker successes. Like, when you hear pros talk condescending about losing player's, when those losing player's are in reality, the true winners in life.
Giving up poker, you're not a failure Outlaw.
Again good luck!

Yeahhhh... If you 4x-ed your bankroll in one day you either binked a big field tourney or you forgot about bankroll management completely. If it's the latter, and you keep doing it, you'll end up back at 0 soon enough.

Cut the online cord. That is a stupid amount of money you are throwing away.

Play only weekly cash table games.

Play only games you can beat... I avoid some tougher local games because the BR and variance made me feel uncomfortable.

Everybody has struggled with BRM.

I keep mine off site several miles from home.

Inconvenience has killed more than a few plans for bigger than my BR games.
