Challenge! Rich VS Gazzy. - Page 2 - Poker Blogs and Goals -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

I'm living with Gazzy right now Rich and I'm about your height and around 10-15lbs heavier than you and I would never considering squaring up to someone of Gazzy's size. Smaller men like us have to adapt and be better at reasoning and talking our way out of fights rather than getting into them.

What Gazzy 'does', I have no doubt, is exactly what a lot of professional poker players already do. It's no different from any industry where there are always people looking to climb above others in the pyramid to get ahead. It would be absurd for someone in the stocks industry to challenge another colleague to a fight purely because he believed his methods to be non ethical.

Don't let what you consider other people's 'problems' affect you so much. You (as we all do) clearly have some of your own personal problems that need to be addressed and I think it would be better to spend your time and effort in trying to improve those aspects of your life that you do have control over rather than worrying about someone else's issues that you do not.

This is really good advice, especially the last paragraph imo.

The fact that you're challenging this person to a fight because he called you small makes me really sad for you. Wouldn't you rather these things not bother you?

I don't subscribe the 'small guys can't beat up big guys' narrative but weight classes exist for a reason, so unless you have a significant edge over a much bigger man, like actual MMA training for example, I'd give it a pass unless I had to.

Also none of that stuff you're quoting sounds that bad TBH and definitely not worth fighting someone over.

Lastly, real talk, if you actually want to get physical with someone (which I think would be a bad idea in this case), don't tell them you're coming and don't splash your intentions all over the internet.

Surely you don't expect Gazzy to waste his time with you for no reason. Make it a 10k bet, that way the poker community can set lines, buy/sell action and get a legit ref. If Gazzy has nothing to gain he's obv going to just ignore you and this won't happen
