Also imo, I think everyone trying this kind of challenge shouldn't follow traditional BRM. Having a sufficient bankroll is important but it's only a few dollars so it's not like people have their livelihood invested.

An example, a SNG player should never play the fast fifties on merge. There a joke with rake at .5 +.1 especially when once step up is 1 +.1. So literally half the rake. So I would rather take shots at the $1's under bankrolled then play the fast fifties.

This don't really apply to cash though as you don't get a better deal on the rake as you move up at the low micros.

I am so bummed! Haven't been able to play at all for past few days - well can't complain was on minivacation over weekend - but today wayyyy too much work! I'm still stuck on my Day 7 I think! Well, I do love checking in and seeing where everyone is at! This thread ROCKS! I am loving seeing people slowly but surely do exactly what the challenge has set out -- making something from nothing!

And then we get players like 3sixes who has already done tremendously before us and then Paul shows up and he ROCKED a similar challenge taking it to the next NEXT level and posts here giving great advise! (thanks paul and sixes)!

Oh and sixes - haven't even had a chance to play any sngs (or anything for that matter) but hopefully tomorrow! Will shoot you my sn but then again - will show no results for past few days!

I never played the 180s because they don't fill often(or ever lol). I just played 10's, 6's, and some 45's at the $1-$2 levels

best bet is the 18's or 45's the others dont fill at all....

How many tables did u play, just one? And i just wonder, don t u think it is too hard to grind it up in a cash games without a rakeback deal?

You can't get 35% rakeback on merge anymore. You have to be grandfathered in(I signed up through an affiliate a couple hours before the deadline )

But Im sure you can find some decent rakeback deal. Right now on RPM im getting over 50% effectively and for real high volume players they can get more without even having a rakeback deal.

ok - just put new anti-virus software on (AVG) - was using norton previously but decided to try something new. AVG keeps telling me that my CARBON software has a virus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled - still same thing. AVG won't allow me to access carbon. Have to maybe just go back with norton as I don't think the merge software has a virus or everyone would be talking about it here!

I also use AVG and the only time I remember having problems was when the security level was set to the highest level. I could be wrong (not very good with computers) but I believe there is a way to tell AVG to let certain programs work.

br 17$! Played some 2$ heads up sit and goes but they were turbos so as i assumed there was a lot of variance in play so i guess i ll quit them for now..
Almost took a shot and registered for 3k gurantee rebuy right now but well i guess that would be too agressive br management! And we are all here to make something from nothing and get better at that area (bankroll management) so i decided to not play in it.. anyone playing that one?? seems like easy money with some run good, only 150 players registred and 3k guranteed!?

in the end with late registrations tournament have had 350 players plus 650 rebuys so i am glad i didn t joined... obviously it wasn t easy money after all... finaly 45 mans sit and go filled so i am playing in this one.. hope i run good.. good luck everyone.. i am playing at carbone btw
