Thx for all help given!
Out of those two, definitely A is more important. Cbetting will happen way more often than 3betting. If B was preflop, then I would say preflop is more important.

A good amount of these hands should fold the river to a triple barrel, especially on good run outs for your hand.

Yh that is pretty much the maximum (unless I got drunk!). It took me some research and time to get from sleeping around 8 hours a night down to 5 hours but I have never used an alarm to wake up (since working on my sleep) and I sleep like a machine!! If I did not find this extra 2.5 hours per day (than my previous lifestyle) then I would have not much chance of achieving the growth I aspire to in life.

Good question...

I will tell you WHY it came about first. One of my main interests is finding out why some people are fulfilled in life and why others (most?) are not (I am not saying "unhappy" here just not fulfilled). Whilst studying this subject I discovered repeatedly that people who seem fulfilled in their life are continually growing. This is one of my definitions of success - fulfilment through continued growth.

In danger of getting tl;dr.... I spoke to and researched hundreds of fullfilled/successful people and I would say over 80% of them talked about how reducing their sleep and/or being more resourceful with their awake time was a big contributing factor in their story. So I decided I needed to do this and then started finding out how they did it and what they did to get there.

Then I copied them!

But I also did some research (just reading as many books/articles as possible) on how we can sleep better thereby reducing quantity of sleep needed and also researched if it was at all dangerous.

It amazed me how little the world actually knows about sleep.

I think most big achievers have awesome time management skills.

Hope that helps, fire away for more info if wanted (don't want to bore!).

To cbet or not (that is the only question!).

Hi guys, I appreciate that these hands are probably very simple to you but would you please help me by just answering yes or no? If you have time to offer a quick explanation too that's great but no worries if not.

Thanks very much.

250: Cbet, and then fold to a raise
251: maybe not. Villain looks passive and I probably have the best hand. Hoping to x/x to the river.

Care to explain your thinking process?

Flop: CBet to fold pp
Turn: we got st8 draw.... and to fold floating range.
River:.....??

I dont know why you barrel river? Villain range mostly Ax and I myself never fold top pair to normal size bet on the river. (I'm calling station, fwiw)

I actually made huge mistake that has been pointed out to me straight away.

I did not notice the river paired the board.

It seems other than that its ok as villain will struggle to call down 3 streets with AJ and AQ here.

KP24 I think villain will call you down all day with AQ and AJ here. you could easily be betting worse when you raise from the CO? Though we could perhaps expect a 3bet from those hands sometimes from the BB? On the river I think he's calling most A for the chop at worst - would need to overbet river I reckon and even then a lot of villains will call.

Excellent blog, good to see someone that's got the right idea about being a student of the game rather than just mindlessly grinding to some arbitrary monetary/volume goals. Like the idea of how you post hands without cluttering up the thread with them - I might steal that idea!

254: You can go small on 3 streets ($3.50, $6, $11) or check back turn and try to get stacks in over 2 streets ($7, $13.50). The advantage of that would be inducing Villain into bluffing or calling down lighter, and it's not like you're scared of any turn cards really. Going for 3 streets is prob more standard though.

255: Just fold. He's gonna have a set/2pr/straight a ton and even though he will have some semibluffs, it's hardly ever just a bare draw, he's going to have at least overcard+FD, pair+FD, FD+SD, pr+SD+FD etc. You're OOP, are going to hate about half the deck, and not even feel comfortable if it's a complete blank like 2 and he bets again.

I can't really spare the time to do full update on my goals right now but I think I am behind on hours played and fallen behind on MGOP2. Bit crap this has happened at end of the month but that's the way things go, you have to have some flexibility sometimes. There is still a chance I will complete those goals, just depends how things go.
