Set Mining in 3B pots

Don't call 3B's with a low pocket pair trying to set mine. You hit a set 1/9 times. Average 3 bet is 10BB's. Which means you call 7 BB's more and thus have to win 63bb's post-flop when you hit a set to*break even*which isn't going to happen enough at all.

Well maybe i'm the one who's wrong but id rather have small pp in my range vs a low 3bet than vs high 3bet, high 3bet id rather play broadway's more.

You want small pp's when they have tiny 3 bet%'s so they're more likely to have a hand they're willing to stack off with when you hit.

You don't call 3 bets from MP/CO with the bottom of your range (i.e. 22-55) it's just bad. I'd fold 88 and under in Mp/Co to unknowns.
They have no playability postflop.

Good luck with this, I've been trying to find a book on hand ranges for so long, so this thread has already been helpful to me!

I'll be following your progress.

Thanks. I have taken hand ranges from a few sources. I don't have them on this laptop here. However I used Ryan Fees 6 max pdf as a starting basis a few years ago and have modified them slightly based on my own preferences and based opponents etc.

Did quite well. My red line is quite poor though. I'm losing too much in the blinds.

You're probably slightly disappointed to finish that much in profit from where you were but it wasn't that bad of a day at almost 10 BB/100.

Good Luck at the tables today!
