Dude why not set tournament buyin restrictions or something? You clearly have skill enough to at least be in these games, you just don't have the role and can't survive these swings. Accept that it might be a little more boring, but that you stand to actually make money instead of repeating mistakes, and eventually get to a level where you can make actual money.

you need help, but not a coach for game selection etc, it will be useless till you keep break the rules. you need to settle this with yourself first, and then you can get help to proper game selection. set those buyin limits already for first step then you should really need to think it trought deeply what do you want/expect from poker in the next lets say 3 years. think in years othewrwise you will never more then a recreational player and you know what it means, you will keep screw ur BR after every score, and will never be able to level up, make step 2 in ur life/poker/everything

This is a crazy thread haha. You seem like pretty good player. Too bad you can't get a decent hold of those BRM skills man Why not teach yourself some proper financial handling? I remember reading a book called "millionaire teacher". The book itself wasn't quite that interesting, but the first few chapters really changed my way of thinking about money management and got me into finance and economics. It's a 9$ book.. give the first few chapters a read, it might help you

non the less a very amusing thread btw - subbed and GL man haha

Yeah i probably should set limits but there is no chance i am not playing the sunday million. PS don`t allow limits to not be valid for certain MTTs. So gotta keep it at 215$.
I do believe i have enough skill to at least play up to 109$.
My biggest and gigantic leaks is not paying attention and playing even close to my ability, tilting, punting, game selection ETC.

If i would have really focused and tried my best Given the card distrubution and deep runs so far my results would have been very very different and great.
Even my successful coach say i play good poker.
I am pure example of the importance of mindset and how skill is useless without it.
Not saying i am a great player or anything but i know i am decent and when its only 10% of my game is A game, 20% B game and the remaining 70% is tilt/punt and CDEFGH game its clear that i should work on mental game first and foremost.

Thanks for great tips folks. Will check that book out one day.

Today i will recalibrate and play only 3-22$ games + big 55$
Not saying even that is proper BRM but its a big step in the right direction. :P

GL at the tables guys!

Maybe sell some action to lower your ABI and get some "mafia"-esque pressure on not watching yt while grinding to not lose other people's money.

There might be accidents, you know..

I didn`t quite get that? Sure i would do a lot better if i was being backed or sold action but nobody would ever buy anything from me given my results and this thread

oh you'd wondering what happens in the marketplace.

Although you can play poker, you only need to have an incentive to play poker and not watch tv and click buttons.

In my opinion good steady BRM heavily contributes to the mind game people usually talk about As with anything in life, it's about getting a proper balance. Good nutrition, a good condition, proper managed finances can all contribute to a clear mindset, which will eventually contribute to better results..

However, to each his own way. I wish you the best of luck good sir!

Maybe you should try sites like 888 where the big fields are 1/3 of what stars are. Easy variance lowering.

Yeah i would like to play on 888 more. Played last sunday and lost my 55$ buy in as they had huge disconnection problems. I have tried depositing multiple times the last 3 days and not working.
Their disconnection and server problems are so tilting + sitting out a lot but yeah the field is soft and good with not so huge player pools.
Also i play on winamax a decent amount which is good.
The thing is nothing can compete with PS in software. it is just so perfect to be mass tabling i end up playing mostly there always.

No clue about what they do in the marketplace :P.
Sure i am gonna stop button clicking and go back to listening to podcasts while playing like today. Watching video and play in burning money indeed.

I checked my All in EV line and i am 750 BBs in MTTs under EV this week. Which must be pretty terrible cause i could not find a timespan i had run worse x) That really liftet my spirits actually :P

Got 2 day savers tonight though with 2,1k in 16$ turbo 3rd and a 22$ turbo 2nd for 800$. So was fortunate enough to capture those much needed $$

If you love the stars software so much, but also like smaller and fishier fields, stars.fr is the way to go. Are you allowed to play there?

Yeah i am in the process of fixing my address so will be on .FR soon enough. Winamax is great and i play there. Good software too. But yeah, pokerstars software is close to perfect.... nothing can truly compete + the great rakeback. Even after the ****ty changes.

Snapshot from today... Got 8th for like 1,2k in the Hotter 33$ 60k. Other than that some deep runs in small buy ins and went bad in all the high and mid stakes. Will see where variance is gonna take me, back to playing decent again. Gotta go for it and play as much as possible the upcoming days to make me able to go on a trip for 3 months soon. Need some more $$$$$

Been playing quite poorly watching youtube and facebook while playing mostly mid-high stakes this week. lost some big pots on bad beats in mid/late stages in several tournaments so results could have easily been great regardless of my lack of focus and play. Will keep going hard it`s still go big or go bust at this point. Finished 22nd in the big 109$ and I ****ed up bad in that one very donkey kong moves.
Will go hard tomorrow and sunday. I have faith in great things happening knock on wood!

Just finished what was a terrible day for poker until the last tournament. Chopped a 109$ 10k turbo for 2,4k HU.
Other than that i played quite decent all day but ran terrible. Friday and saturday is definitely my favorite days to play. There is so many amazing players in all stakes. Looking forward to tomorrow. Dunno if im gonna mass table small-mid stakes or play fewer tables and only mid-high stakes. Will see, my poor BRM is almost working out so gonna keep doing that lol. I definitely need a decent score asap so gonna keep going for it :=)

played about a million hands in 2015. i played almost everything from 11-530$ buy in. up to 20 tables. huge fields, lots of turbos and i think i lost like 20k in spins alone. 75k is nothing if you put your mind to it, a bad sunday is -4k consider also i eventually played on multiple sites volume is not hard to get. More importantly i sucked, now i`m OK so it takes a bit longer to burn my roll

About 300$ down today, got really fuucking close to something though, 109$ 100k turbo. 19k up top finished 14th lost a flip for average stack pot. Super frustrating. Just that one flip and i would probably have made enough $$$$ to go on my 3 months trip. Now i have almost no time to make it happen. Need at least 2k more in the upcoming days. May operation run like god begin all the way to some FT. Also finished 66th in FTOPS 100k 100$ event after losing two sizeable pots with AK vs A4 and QQ<AJs.

Love it with these massive sweats crush my soul OTR

Went ahead and re-calibrated myself for this day, i did not want to go broke so i played a lot of 4-20$ MTTS plus the big 55$. Played good overall all day, and hit 3 final tables, i got 6th in the big 55$ and a 20$ for 3k and 350$ and 25$ turbo 5th for 250$. 4 bad beats/coolers in the 3 FTs knocked me out.

In the big 55$ i definitely made some small mistakes but played decent all around. The guy in the BB was sitting out the entire FT so was special dynamics. Lot of battling and massive agression from most of the players and I was quite card dead for a long time. But in the end i am super happy with boosting my roll once again. I do realize how good i run and how fortunate i have been cause overall i have made a ****load of mistakes and had horrible BRM but still surviving.

I enjoyed playing just small stakes and only this one 55$. Less tilting whenever i bust... busting a 4-8$ almost feels good lol as long as i played well and it was +EV spot i busted in. Also i tried to stack tables instead of cascade and i really liked it. Much more space on screen, easier to quickly see things more clear. Also not seeing the runouts is great.

Not gonna say anything about what stakes i`m gonna play now, gonna play what i feel like playing lol. No promises equals no broken promises

Tried to edit original post but went over 30min edit time limit. Just wanted to add a couple things. I see how what a huge impact not exercising and eating well has done on my game these last 2 weeks. Gonna go to the gym now and try to keep it to at least 3 times a week. Have become much more grumpy and a lot of bitching. Also has to do with crappy thing out of my control has happened lately IRL. Can´t do much about these things other hold my head up high and pushing forward and work out. I enjoy playing poker, it distracts me and keep my mind of things. I finished working my job today which feels great, now i have around 3 months off. Going on a trip and will be grinding much more now without distractions. Sweet sweet freedom.

The big 162$. The c-bet is pretty standard but calling here is pretty terrible. he has a ton of Jx, maybe 4 combos of 56s and in some rare cases A4s but this is a pretty clear fold IMO. anything else he is probably jamming or folding pre. Solid small stakes reg.

55$ PSKO. This one is vs a mediocre small stakes reg. dont have many hands on him. He has all sets and str8.
