right my name is adam from england. Im 21 and i caught the poker bug about 1.5-2 years ago. I started playing on stars and since then + across some other sites ive probably donated in excess of £1k. I could afford to lose this, but tbh is very annoying and pretty humiliating having to constantly deposit. I want to be a consistent winner

I was a winner in mtts on stars but only slight, my huge huge leak was SNGs, if im honest i think i actually did run bad BUT also that i am terrible when it comes to small stacks. I donated alot in cash untill about 4 months ago when i beat 5 then 10nl for aprox 7-10bb/100 hit a downswing after i cashed out (after an mtt win) since then ive been really just pissed off about poker in general.

today i got my motivation back.

i had some money on ladbrokes and decieded on a new start. at the time of writing i have £41.44 on ladbrokes and 252pp which can be used to buy into mtts etc and converted to cash (IIRC) at 2k.

started playing on laddies again a few days ago and these have been my results so far.

I am making this thread to keep myself accountable and to not tilt (a problem i have)

I will start playing 4nl both £ and euro tables. I know that this is 10BI but i just cant take 2nl seriously but for some reason i can concentrate at 4nl. The play from what i have seen so far is just pathetic at this stake and i hope (variance permitting) that i will be able to move up relatively quickly to 10nl, I intend to use agressive BRM, 15 BI and drop down again if i go to 12.

I will only play MTTs (theyre pretty terrible on this site anyway) when i have enough PP to buy in directly to them. I will not use cash to play MTTs. I will not play a single SNG.

I have a pretty compulsive personality so i tend to play a decent amount per day like 3-4 hours

I dont really know how to post HH's from micro gaming (can someone explain?)

wish me luck.

adam

also does anyone know the best way to take advantage of the ladbrokes VIP program, will easily be making silver level and will most likely be making gold level pretty easy when i move up.
just starting a session now

just finished my first session as a reformed man. it went well.

start £41.44, 252 pp

finish £58.60, 302 pp

578 hands. This was mostly 2 tabling but occasionally 3 tabling.

Ive noticed that the ladbrokes exclusive tables are so soft its crazy but the microgaming network tables are just full of nits at one point the losest player on a table i was on had a vpip of 19.
I will be trying to start tables on the ladbrokes exclusive tables to get more action on them rather than play with nits.

had fun and will be playing tomorow

getting pretty pissed off now, just running terrible.

its pretty difficult to read these idiots and actually try to play properly when theyre calling 4X raises UTG+1 with T4off

BR currently at £49 after starting today at 66. cut down to 2 tables from 4 just so i can slow down and think through every decision.

currently £34 below EV

the old me would be playing 50nl trying to win it back. not any more

well im giving up for the day after being absolutely raped in the face all day.

BR was 66 now 35.68.

particular highlight was AA vs K9 and broadway vs 2 pair all in on turn only for him to river the boat.

probably should have gave up earlier and accepted that it wasnt going to be my day. but i am better than all these players the vast majority of them are complete idiots.

tomorrow i will play an MTT with my pokerpoints and try to rebuild my BR to atleast £50.

well after saying i was done playing for the night I went and played some COD for an hour and decided to 2 table abit more. was pretty wierd as I managed to get a pretty lively Ladbrokes exclusive table going and built up a 550 + bb stack but got killed on the euro tables with just coolers and one pretty savage AK vs KK hand vs a complete maniac when i floped top pair (K) and a flush draw. but what can you do.
despite it not being the best session i made £8 and the br is now

BR £43.41
PP 430

IDK if i should play a 2.50 mtt or save another 300 ish and play a 5.50 mtt.

i also got an email today from ladbrokes saying i had reached my target and that they were crediting me 5 euros in the next 72 hours?? i didnt know i had a target lol!!!

oh well

Plan for the day.

-make some lunch etc (just got back from a run)

- play the euro tables all day

- play ladbrokes exclusive tables tonight when all the drunk idiots are playing (god i love english drinking culture)

- cash in MTT

- get BR 50+ again

thanks for the support guys got the BR back to were i started at about £41. think next time i have some spare cash ill deposit a little bit more just to give my BR some security.

played some HU SNGs then to win back my money. wont be doing that again.

registered in a 2.50 MTT for later on and ive almost earned enough points to enter another 1.1 MTT abit later on too.

i think ive found a decent hand converter on weaktight and will start to post some HH's.

one advantage of a site this small is that ive now got a couple of hundred hands on a lot of players so i can start to develop some solid reads

is it not better to play on sites like PS where the chances of catching a fish are higher?

im from the UK too and didnt even know ladbrokes had poker tables - just thought they were sports betting only, yet im sure people who dont gamble on sports, but like poker, like me, wouldn't have thought of laddies as an option, and have gone to pokerstars to play instead (prime fish time)

or are the sites similiar with regards to fish?

the players on this site are the worst ive ever seen!! particularly the ladbrokes exclusive tables. but your right the small player pool may turn out to be a problem especially if i move up in stakes (hopefully).

i think if i get past 20nl i may have to move to FT (rakeback) or stars. But i thought as it was a new start that id give laddies a try (+ their tourneys and SNGs are terrible so less temptation to play them)

hmm tough hand but imo you missed a possible pot takedown on the river, checks to you, hes not leading out with 7 is he? (and at them levels i doubt hes trying to check raise you)

He might think your leading out with a 7, and checked to see where he's at, in this spot I go all in, aggesssion works at those levels

edit: i see he checked the other two streets............ cooler that

currently 5/6 on the FT with still about 40bb

lost a pretty big pot with the chipleader with 7 left. i have JJ riase he calls board comes 934TK, lost about half my stack. hanging in there. aiming for a top 3 finish

edit: just had this hand. http://weaktight.com/2642193

was a really difficult fold, even though he 3bet in the SB i feel alot of the time he has an AT+ or KQ there. decided to fold though just due to the fact that the times i am ahead im still flipping and with the number of BB i have left i dont really need to do it atm
