+1

Basically every draw that he could possibly raise on the flop gets there and obivously any Ace is beating you. You just turned your hand into a bluff and nothing calls that we beat and everything calls that beats us. We pick up some equity so i prefer here to check the turn. we lose less by c/c the river.

hand 340: your sizing seems bad even vs a 74/11, u can go smaller on flop/turn to induce and u can still stack villain without betting flop/shoving turn. I think u missed value there.

hand 341: again i think u can go smaller on flop + turn to go for 3 streets.

BTN in 341 isn't a reg. In both hands the opponent is pretty bad and can have a lot of draws which will call big bets so I think betting smaller on flop would be bad. I do see your point for betting smaller on the turn in hand 340 though, it would be impossible for him to find a fold if there was only a 20% bet left on the river. In hand 341 I don't think I should bet smaller on the turn because any pair and Ax will still call.

Not sure how to quantify how much I work on my game but I do spend time reviewing hands/watching videos/talking to people.

341: I'm not sure that's right, i wouldn't expect villain to continue with any pair + Ax because on that board your barreling range is very strong and even stronger when you size like you do. Also you bet 40bb with 81bb left behind, you basically can't ever be bluffing.

You could have gone like 12bb otf, 25 ott and the shove 59bb into ~95bb otr.

That said, I think sizing in 340 is actually ok, but i think you should look for more oppurtunities to go for 3 streets rather than 2 in 3b/4b pots.

Yeah it all depends how bad he is, it's a wet board and an opponent who is more than likely pretty bad so I think it's a good spot to bet bigger on flop and turn.

346 just looks like spazz without reads to me. Most of his range when he calls the turn is Qx. 347 I bet about 16bb on the flop to jam the turn. 348 is obv good. 349 looks good too. 350 I'd strongly consider a river fold.

Thanks for the advice. In 347 I think it's a good spot to go for 3 streets though (see discussion a few posts above). I was actually considering a call in 348.

This was my first 2k+ month. Lost quite a bit at 100 Zoom but barely down in it after FPPs and getting $700 from the promo.

356: I'm calling it off. Such a dumb spot for him to have any value hands because with a lot of our range we're checking the river.
357: Seems fine.
358: I x/f the turn - even with your sizing it's difficult to get called again by worse. Would balance this with some weaker Ax though.

Nice to meet you. I think its great that you started v-logging. How many years have you been doing it for now? im thinking of starting to vlog as well - more motivation to learn and get better right?!!

Is Poker ur FT job or u work as well?

I wonder how many people who watch the videos are recreational v pro. iM A noob myself so id fit in the first category haha.

Just wanted to say great job in doing videos in the first place!

I agree with the other comments.

Hi, nice to meet you too. I started making videos about a year ago, for a while it was my main motivation for getting better at poker and I spent a lot more time studying and thought a lot deeper because of it.

I'm a student and I'm on summer break right now so I guess I'm playing poker full time for a few months since I don't have a job.

I played 600nl for the first time today, didn't get into any pots but won $32 in 27 hands.

Hand 359: This hand really shows that there are soft games at higher stakes. If you look at the stats you'll see that the 3 players to my right are weaker players.

I dunno what's going on here but get a grip kid. Grind one stake and play solid pocker, jumping from 25NL to 600NL will only hurt you in the long run

FYP

Also, I dunno.. I was playing almost exclusively 2nl till black Friday. Then, played a bit of 2nl during that summer and won a bit. Then quit for school. Then, another bit of 2nl last summer (like maybe 2k hands) and maybe lost like a buyin. Then quit for school.

So far this summer, I played on the 100b day for a day. Then didn't play till the zoom and boom week. (with plans for rush week which was the same week but those didn't come too (I'm not good at grinding)) Since I won about $80 in the 100b hand day and had about $300, I decided I'd hit zoom and boom off big with some 25nl. The results:

I made about 20 BI for the Monday (at first, I was rabbit holing a bit because I was sitting for the majority of my roll on the table). It kinda sucked though cuz I only got black kings once and lost the pot in the 7k hands which is ******ed because that's probably like 10% of the hands I've ever played.

Then, my bankroll was like 800-900 so I decided to play 100nl for the rest of the week and got black kings like 4 times each day but only 1 counted :'(. At first, I won. Then I had a slight downswing. Then I tilted because it was my first downswing for so much monies. Then I vowed to try forget about the losses and won again. Then I realized I was close to platinum (which would've been the coolest thing ever because checking now, I have 7860.3 lifetime VPP and I've never had a VIP status (7496.12 this year so ugh I missed platinum)) so I tried 8 tabling 100 and 50nl while my internet kept d/cing on the last day which sucked because I used to never play 4 normal tables, often played 1 table and rarely played zoom or rush, so obviously I lost all my winnings that day (like 8BI) and ended up having my bankroll back at about 1500 after getting the 6*100 zoom and boom and stellar rewards which means after I decided to play 100nl, I pretty much broke even for the week of 40k hands before bonuses >=(.

Oh well, twas fun.. I guess. I increased my lifetime hands by about 50% in a week! Haven't sat down since. Don't plan to. I've joined some waitlists for fun though! Didn't sit... and then rejoined the waitlist!

cliffs:
- not sure shot-taking is a bad idea since I just more than 5xed my roll in a week with the following which I calculated to have negligible ROR:
- primarily played 1-4 tables of 2nl on and off because this summer
- for promos, decided to play 25nl. won 20 BI on Monday
- played 100nl from Tuesday and won. then lost. then won. then was stupid on the last day and lost missing platinum by a number of VPP that I can count with my fingers
