Hey everyone, firstly a fairly brief history of myself:
I started playing poker in early 2000's when it was kicking off and the games were so sweet to play in, I deposited $20 on to 888.com pacific poker and soon realised I was hooked, I became obsessed with the game and still am.
For the first few years I would try run up my small deposits in to 4 figures then lose it all at NL 5/10, one of my all time lows happened when I had just gotten paid my monthly salary and blew it on poker stars within 2 hours of getting it.
I later played in pub leagues for a few years having a little success in them I craved money and online was the place to find it. I later found the NPF which back then was the Newcastle poker forum and posted daily and got amongst the community built a small reputation and I would get backing for small to low stakes SNG's and MTT's , my first half decent score came from a $5 RB cubed on stars and it went from there really, I would get backing quite easily from the members and after a while I began to look for a backer seriously.
I turned to poccar ....now a very successful company and remember playing with notable players such as RTinnion. I worked hard at my game started off low and got to play up to games higher than I would have liked at times heh. I enjoyed the whole aspect of learning and being in a community and still do, I got a hoodie of Alex the founder for something like player of the month and it literally was never off my back, however although I was winning I wasn't given the green light to move up higher, I felt I hit a road block and wanting 1 on 1 coaching so decided to end our contract and move somewhere else. I was about 5k in make up before I moved so worked it off first before I left.
After pocarr I was at ThePokerBackers's and played with them a while, shortly after joining I won the big $22 on stars for my biggest win of about $12k and went on to get big scores well they were big for me at the time and got up to about $60k profits mainly from MTT's.
My deal with TPB's ended in a very bad way, a way so bad I will never get backed again, all the reputation I had built up had been dismantled and it was all my own fault, I have no excuse other than at the time I had the world on my shoulders at the time and went through the most difficult time of my life and took advantage of my position within the stable, I took money that wasn't mine and this is partly why I am doing this blog, Jay and Gas took me in and essentially I stole which to this day I aim to rectify, since then I have not been in a affordable position with poker or life so have not paid back what is owed, recently I have tried to make contact as I aim to build back my reputation and fix my wrongs.
My latest ventures in poker has focused on cash games and micro ones at that. I joined BPC last year and recently left their programme as I soon realised cash wasn't for me and NOW !!! I'm back to square 1! still with that dream off over 10 years a go of becoming a professional at a game I love.
I'm now 31 years old and I know it's never too late and so I must keep trying.
My aims in poker are simple and they are to become one of the best MTT players who ever lived , I will do anything to get there and work extremely hard at it.
However I am at rock bottom and the only way is up, my choice of games will be Micro to Low stakes MTT's and SNG's in the future, I will use everything I can in terms of software and the people around me to make it possible and blog my sessions and progress. Once I find out how much is owed I will post progress on that too. My volume won't be large and I will record some sessions and do live twitch sessions too.
I do work part time though so maybe 1-2 sessions a week to start then who knows , this journey may take me all my life but it's my only option now , in terms of keeping up with the game I will look in to MTT programmes and such but I'm optimistic to what else I can be taught and feel 1 on 1 coaching might be a better alternative right now, so here goes. I will sort sharkscope later on.
