Hey everyone, firstly a fairly brief history of myself:

I started playing poker in early 2000's when it was kicking off and the games were so sweet to play in, I deposited $20 on to 888.com pacific poker and soon realised I was hooked, I became obsessed with the game and still am.

For the first few years I would try run up my small deposits in to 4 figures then lose it all at NL 5/10, one of my all time lows happened when I had just gotten paid my monthly salary and blew it on poker stars within 2 hours of getting it.

I later played in pub leagues for a few years having a little success in them I craved money and online was the place to find it. I later found the NPF which back then was the Newcastle poker forum and posted daily and got amongst the community built a small reputation and I would get backing for small to low stakes SNG's and MTT's , my first half decent score came from a $5 RB cubed on stars and it went from there really, I would get backing quite easily from the members and after a while I began to look for a backer seriously.

I turned to poccar ....now a very successful company and remember playing with notable players such as RTinnion. I worked hard at my game started off low and got to play up to games higher than I would have liked at times heh. I enjoyed the whole aspect of learning and being in a community and still do, I got a hoodie of Alex the founder for something like player of the month and it literally was never off my back, however although I was winning I wasn't given the green light to move up higher, I felt I hit a road block and wanting 1 on 1 coaching so decided to end our contract and move somewhere else. I was about 5k in make up before I moved so worked it off first before I left.

After pocarr I was at ThePokerBackers's and played with them a while, shortly after joining I won the big $22 on stars for my biggest win of about $12k and went on to get big scores well they were big for me at the time and got up to about $60k profits mainly from MTT's.

My deal with TPB's ended in a very bad way, a way so bad I will never get backed again, all the reputation I had built up had been dismantled and it was all my own fault, I have no excuse other than at the time I had the world on my shoulders at the time and went through the most difficult time of my life and took advantage of my position within the stable, I took money that wasn't mine and this is partly why I am doing this blog, Jay and Gas took me in and essentially I stole which to this day I aim to rectify, since then I have not been in a affordable position with poker or life so have not paid back what is owed, recently I have tried to make contact as I aim to build back my reputation and fix my wrongs.

My latest ventures in poker has focused on cash games and micro ones at that. I joined BPC last year and recently left their programme as I soon realised cash wasn't for me and NOW !!! I'm back to square 1! still with that dream off over 10 years a go of becoming a professional at a game I love.

I'm now 31 years old and I know it's never too late and so I must keep trying.
My aims in poker are simple and they are to become one of the best MTT players who ever lived , I will do anything to get there and work extremely hard at it.

However I am at rock bottom and the only way is up, my choice of games will be Micro to Low stakes MTT's and SNG's in the future, I will use everything I can in terms of software and the people around me to make it possible and blog my sessions and progress. Once I find out how much is owed I will post progress on that too. My volume won't be large and I will record some sessions and do live twitch sessions too.

I do work part time though so maybe 1-2 sessions a week to start then who knows , this journey may take me all my life but it's my only option now , in terms of keeping up with the game I will look in to MTT programmes and such but I'm optimistic to what else I can be taught and feel 1 on 1 coaching might be a better alternative right now, so here goes. I will sort sharkscope later on.

POKERSTARS/888

So far £58.55 deposited

Bankroll $3.26

Money deposited = £108.55

Bankroll = $41.62

Ok had just the one cash last night from the 15 games , I've lowered my BI's to $5 and under for regular and turbos, $1 RB's and $2 for hypers. I can't afford to be playing higher. I understand a lot about variance especially micro MTT's on stars and I don't expect to win a lot even over 100's of games.

My graph on stars is this:

I will be playing some more tonight so will post the stream up later.

Why am I doing this?

I suppose I haven't been clear on why the f* I'm doing it, I'm not the greatest of bloggers but I really just want to track my progress through 2+2 and record my sessions whilst doing so, I'm not looking for great advice or attention and people to big me up, this is solely for myself and perhaps down the line I would like to help others who need help too, I'm not a great contributor to 2+2 but I'd imagine I will post in other threads too when I have the time.

This is a new venture in other words, my highs, my lows and everything else , however if anyone does have any advice I'm all ears but in terms on strategy and BRM , this doesn't really have any, I deposit when I can, play when I can and soon I will devise ways of studying and create a structure to which I can keep up with the game and improve on.

Right now my strategies are simple and I may keep em that way until I'm able to play outside of my current limits, but what else I want this to be is FUN, it's so easy to lose this side when trying to win money. This is not going to be easy but I'm gonna try my best to enjoy the journey

Wow you've been through a bit of a rollercoaster.

It's good that you're owning up to your mistakes and hopefully legitimately trying to make up and pay back what you owe.

As long as you roll yourself properly it should be easy to get out of the micros in time - the games at that level are still as soft as ever.

Yeah Spand the micros are still as soft as they ever were, only problem is getting through their massive fields, I've received no response from TPB's yet, I've tried to add the owner on skype and message them on facebook, it looks like they are not operational, does anyone know? But yeah I'll be cashing out no winnings at all, my aim is to pay back and build. Thanks

I'll be playing a day time session today as tonight I want to chill and watch a film, there's a bunch of new films I want to watch but you never get any HD streams on the android box so usually I have to wait a while.

My schedule is this http://imgur.com/a/wXpRY

Again I'm playing very low, last session I came close to a FT in the big $2 with $800 + up top, I called 63o in the SB to complete 4 way action on a very loose table and got it in on a 383 board 2d's versus A3, I wouldn't have usually completed with such rubbish but I feel it was a mistake but todays a new day.

I'll be streaming my play on my youtube channel if anyone cares to have a look https://gaming.youtube.com/channel/U...8ekkWwF1g/live

Play kicks off at 9.40am GMT, an early start but there's still plenty MTT's for my BI level, that's one good thing about stars.....you'll always get a game.

GL me

Wish u good grinding today. Its friday, so i can hardly wait to start...but first have to come home from work.

Do u play anywhere else or just on PS?

Thanks, yeah just on PS atm , I will probably play some on 888 and other sites when I get round to it.

No luck today, I have 3 left and stopped streaming a little early, I'll put it back up if I go deep. Still a couple cashes so it hasn't been disaster.

I will start posting some analysis soon, my next session will be next week, I'll also be looking to qualify for some live events in the UK but I really need to have a good look as to what I fancy . I'm thinking GUKPT.

Also might switch streaming over to twitch as that's the direction players are taking on here. gl all you small timers

I'm not entirely sure as to why I'm streaming all my sessions but I'm hoping I can review sessions by going over my videos and taking notes, I'm sure this isn't the first time someone's blogged their story from next to nothing and for that reason I'm not expecting a lot of followers until I make some progress. My channel is pretty basic for now.

The future of online poker is hard I know, I almost don't want to put in all the hard work to be a great player but instead prefer a leisure like approach in which I can fully enjoy it and experience it for what it is, I still think there's money to be made at the micro to low level for certain, there's more than enough bad players and I look forward to crushing them.

My next stream will be tomorrow or Tuesday, hopefully we'll get a deep run.

Just to clarify, I'm playing with my own money, I'm starting from $0, STRICLY NO CASHOUTS, I'm looking to pay previous when the ball gets rolling and have fun. So join me on twitch, I would appreciate any advice and if anyone wishes for me to advertise their channel or anything else , let me know, I'll do it for free.

Last night's session was a break even one , I'm yet to get a credible score or final table, had a couple deep runs but missed with my flips.

I haven't invested a lot yet but I'm looking forward to getting my bankroll of the ground. The micro MTT's on stars are still as soft as they ever were, I have no problems in building stacks in them, It's just the vast fields you have to trawl through to reach any kind of score, I'm in this for the long run anyway.

I'm gonna have another go tonight, I'll post up my schedule later, again it's games that are $5 and under, you can follow my progress from about 6pm GMT at https://www.twitch.tv/gillott1985

Here's a hand I felt was borderline, It was a $3 6 max, I have 14 BB's behind and SB jams ahead of a limper who's more than likely folding.

I assigned SB's range to this and it looks at though this call is very close and may be in fact be a little light and be calling off with 88+ only. What do you guys think, pretty much no info to go off other than player has played 9 hands and 3 bet 3 of them so far.

Grrrrrr started a session but just no feeling it, got cold and feel a bit rough, literally just played handful of games and stopped registering. Also couldn't win a dam flip so will re top up to go again tomorrow.

It's important I play as many games as I can with as little variance as possible. This is something that's gonna have to be affordable and fun but at the same time serious. You might have realised what little strategy I'm putting out In this thread but basically I'm using standard lines , very basic 3 bet spots and c bet when it's the smart thing to do and my hand selection is pretty solid with a wide stealing range, I am aggressive when I can be and make the right folds too, but basic strategy is all that is needed to win at the micro's, all the success I've had from them has derived from basic strategy so why change it at this level.

Back tomorrow for a more lengthy session

Amount down the drain = £180

Bankroll = $49

Yeah right I will, the MTT's on smaller sites are obviously less variance though as stars has 1000's of runners in a lot of the games I'm playing in. I play on other sites too, but for now I want to hit some scores on stars, heh I literally don't have any choice other than grind out micro SNG's and cash which bores the hell out of me, I can for sure make $500+ a month doing this but where's the fun in that right?

Tonight's session will start around 7pm on https://www.twitch.tv/gillott1985
I'm still messing around with this whole twitch thing and I'm yet to incorporate any study from the videos I've done already and tbh I'm not sure I will but instead just focus on making them more entertaining and hopefully using the knowledge that I have from 10 years of playing I can become a regular.
