i played stud8 + 8-game for 3 hours, won 17$

i missed to play the 2 tournaments yesterday cause i wasnt at home.
today, after my session, i saw an 8.80$ turbo 8-GAME tournament.
the players were absolutely horrible and i made second place.
the last hand heads-up i raised AcAd to 2.5bb and got called. flop is KJ10, all spades.
now he checks to me and i have about 11bb left that i jam into the ~6bb pot.
he called me with Qhearts and 8 spades and covered me. brick turn, 9 river. gg
i got ~67$ for my 8.80$.

bankroll is at 360$

with 400$ i will start to play 1/2$ STUD8 and 50c/1$ 8-GAME

i played a 5.50$ horse turbo tournament with 26 players and... made second place again, for 39$ this time.
my bankroll is at 393$ now.
the last hand was stud and my T2-2TT6-3 got beat by 44-Q4QQ-Q, lol.

i already set my limits to 1/2$ limit (STUD8) and 10c/25c pl/nl (for 8-game 50c/1$).
moving back down will only happen if i drop under 250$.

ill play the stud8 + 8-game 11$ tournaments tomorrow, and will get back to cash at thursday.

welcome at 2+2, limpmuck, and thanks for the positive feedback.
also good luck with your challenge.

i played the 2 tournaments and busted the stud8 with 12 starters
and made 3 of 11 in the 8-game for exactly 22$ and a break even day.
gonna lay down now, did heavy deadlift and some other stuff at my workout today
and prolly gonna fall asleep pretty soon.

tomorrow i will grind 1/2$ STUD8 and 50c/1$ 8-game.

i played 2 tables of 50c/1$ 8game for 3 hours, won 53$
bankroll is at 464$

i was stuck about 40$ at the beginning, cause i played a PLO hand really bad
after running very dry for ~100 hands over both tables.
then i finally picked up some cards, made lots of notes and got paid off when i had the nuts.
(by 2 players that i marked as stations already, lol)

im gonna play the 11$ STUD8 and 8-GAME MTT's in about 2 and a half hours.

but first of all im gonna cook some delicious organic-hash (meat from beef, not what you thought)
with some white mushrooms, broccoli and noodles.
its my own creation, i cook noodles and throw the broccoli in 30 sec before they are ready,
while i have already started to roast the hash.
then i throw the mushrooms into the boiler with the hash,
and the noodles and broccoli on top a bit later.
a little olive-oil over it and 2-3 minutes later its ready.
some good tellicherry-pepper beside it on the table and im happy.

i busted the stud8 after i missread a hand and lost ~1000 chips too much early.
bubbled the 8-game cause i tried to press through 34569 from the button in 2-7.
pretty ******ed ICM-overkill at that point.
couldnt shut down when bb called and he drew just 1 card, checked turn back,
he draws 1 and i paid off his 76432 otr.
i was blinded by the huge steps in pay-out and got out of line as if it were a winner takes all...

bankroll is at 424$ (last time posted was typo, was 446$)

probably gonna grind a lot of 8-game tomorrow, its friday and i aint got a **** to do yet.
i intend to play the 16.50$ HORSE on sunday, if i am able to play with better focus and win a little bit tomorrow.
it has a very smooth pay-out structure, today was 58 players and 12 ITM.

i know im underrolled for a bigger field-size than the 10-20 players in 8-game and stud8,
but i have to take some shots at these tournaments before i have roll of +1000$.
the reason is, that it is less profitable for me to play them instead of 1/2$ 8-game and 2/4$ STUD8.
as soon as im really rolled for them, i can play cash for a significantly higher hourly profit.
its really bad that there are nearly no mixed tournaments in between 33$ and 200$,
i think its only the horse 109$ at sick night-time over here,
hence why i will play some more tournaments now with just 30-50 buy-ins in my roll.
i really enjoy them, but they aint worth the time with a 4 figure roll.
(hope to make 6-8k till years end and be able to take shots at the 215$ horse.)

im really already looking forward to play a lot of satellites to the mixed SCOOP events the next weeks.
they will suit my roll perfectly; less variance and more volume.

played 10min, won 6$ at 8-game heads-up.

then i was the only one sitting at 8-game and stud8 and decided to go out to get some stuff done,
and be back to get more action in a few hours.
atm, there is nearly no action, its too early.
didnt remember who bad a normal sleeping-rythm is for playing poker.

UPDATE:

my bankroll is at 468$ and i currently take a break from 8-game
and play STUD8 1/2$ and BADUGI 50c/1$.
untill my SCOOP events are over, i will only play limit-games,
but afterwards i will go back to 8-game.
my new intention is to play 2 tables of 8-game as standard grind
and only one table of STUD8 on days that i visit the gym.
its much more relaxed to play and i still get in two or three hundred quality hands on those days,
where i normally would not have played.

in about 17 hours i am going to play the 27$ SCOOP TRIPLE-STUD event.
the 3 other tournaments on my schedule are the STUD8, 8-GAME and the HORSE 27$.
with 31% ITM and 96% ROI at these tournaments this year (nearly 100 games)
im pretty positive to make at least one good run in these games.
guarnteed money means 1000 players minimum for all but the HORSE,
which has 2000 players minimum and is the last of the 4 events.

ill get some solid, quality 12-hour-sleep now and hopefully be in top-form when the triple-stud starts.

i played 3 satty's to the 27$ triple-stud and won the last one (5$, 8$, 8$).
about a hundred hands of badugi later i was break-even in badugi and the triple-stud started. i didnt catch the right cards and busted ~400th of ~1800 total.

i will grind cash tomorrow and on monday, since i had enough days off this week and still have the reload-bonus running till 2nd of june. still 140€ in rakeback to get.

tuesday, thursday and saturday i play the stud8-, 8-game- and the horse-event.
afterwards ill restart 8-game and seriously put in many hours and prepare myself for a +100 hour month in june. i will stop playing tournaments completely till the WCOOP, or any other series that offers big guarantees for mixed-tournaments, starts.

NEW GOALS:
- reach "goldstar" this month
- gain a +800$ roll till month' end (cleared reload bonus (140€) included)
- +100 hours cashgame-only in june

BANKROLL: 421 $ + 27 T$
