Hello guys
,
I'm gonna start blogging about my journey through the stakes. As a lot of the BluffTheSpot guys are doing it, I felt like it couldn't be bad for my development as a player to reflect about my play and my way to mid/highstakes.
Short Bio:
German, 25 years old living in Berlin, Germany. Had a tough time as a kid, was a high IQ kid that always had problems adopting to the "society" here in Germany. Still tried to force my way through the "normal" life, became highly depressed tho. I'm a father of a 8 month old daughter with a beloving soon-to-be wife. Life is on the rise for me - the last piece of the puzzle is financial freedom. That's where poker comes into play.
Poker Bio:
Started playing Poker for a short time in 2016, reaching NL50 in a span of 5 month and picking up quickly about the game. We're totally in love with it, due to my depression I stopped playing tho. Started playing a bit at the end of last year again, before applying for BluffTheSpot in mid February and gladly got accepted
. Played professional football in my youth, so discipline, work ethic and a scheduled life are not really new to me - so I hope this will help in my poker career! Also did a lot of research on metacognition over the last year or so - so adding new concepts of life improvement every month!
So I started at the 1st of March with a 150$ deposit on bwin. Here is my graph so far
Quickly left NL5 behind me and trippled my bankroll - currently playing NL10ff. Volume is a bit low, took me a few days to get an affliate deal and kinda had a break the last 3-4 days since I was considering moving to Microgaming.
Goals for the year:
- Beat NL100 - take the first shots at NL200
- keeping the vegan lifestyle - add more sport to my life again
- further develop in terms of metacognition
I'll do 3-4 hours of theory and 8 hours of grind a day - if you want something from life you got to work I guess
.
I think this blog will be a lot about my journey, but will also post hands to discuss strategy. In March I consumed all the Preflop Content of the stable and the more basic postflop strategy. In April I'll start working on my BvB play - I guess all the hands posted in here will be about this topic! If you have any questions - feel free to ask!
cheers
