BTC gives 6.25%? Why wdnt everyone park their btc on voyager? That’s huge. Damn 9% for usdc!
I transferred one mana to voyager for a trial run. Took 10 mins pending to complete.

Thanks @Kevin. I wasn’t that much of a fan of Coinbase Pro as is. Fees a little high, and platform not great.
It’s official. We transferred everything today to Voyager. Even our $30 of usdc.

Idk, seems even enough on the short term.

you're welcome, BS! I'm a big fan of Voyager purely for things that are longer term holds for the interest like you said. I don't trade there because they use the brokerage model and use a spread so while they technically don't have fees, you're better off paying 0.1% on Binance or something the majority of the time if you're trading.

Good luck with the house purchase I hope it turns out all right. But where's the homerun hitter we all know? I'm kind of surprised you went for the bunt.

Call me crazy but if it sounds too good to be true it is. Guaranteed returns on bitcoin sound oddly familiar.

lol chill homie, its a promotion from a publicly traded company (vygvf) that's trying to grow their business. should probably not speak if you've given it zero research.

You have to much money in play and you're becoming a nit.

Half of my mortgage payment goes towards interest. If I could survive in a small basement suite for $1150 instead of $2300 for a mortgage for a bigger house, I would prefer to just invest that extra money, but I needed a bigger house. If you get a dud by missing major problems with no inspection, you can easily lose money on the house. There is time and maintenance costs for a house too.

Agree....unless you're making a fortune from investing/gambling and the tied up capital in property would have outperformed the expense of renting.

Just described butterfly perfectly. He should be renting and it's not even close.

He's shown a propensity to blow his money on some insane gambles. A property which locks up the capital and stops him pissing it away on some random penny stock may not be a wholly terrible idea.

The Warren Buffet thing is kind of dumb. Not sure if they specify, but did he spend $31,500 in cash on the home or did he get a mortgage for a $31,500 home? If the latter, then he didn't have $31,500 to invest anyways, so it wouldn't have been worth $882M.

Also, what are the odds a guy living in his car is going to turn a company into a multi-billion dollar company? I am sure the amenities of living in a home helped him perform at his best. Of course he could have rented for the last 60 years and paid way more than the $31,500 he spent on his home (maybe up to $100K paying off his mortgage). If he spent $100k on the home through a mortgage for 60 years of living that is an average of less than $1,700 a year, or $140 a month. I am sure he could have rented some quality apartments for $140 a month on average.

$2100 invested and down about $40.
Our positions so far.

Still holding 80,000ish MANA

House closes (our home) projected date is May 14th.
My house purchase closing date May 20th.
Went w same title company to try to coordinate these dates as best as possible. Looks tho, bout 5 days in the warehouse. :/

Lastly, got a quote for that must have sliding door for flip. A big 11k purchase. It’s gonna sell the house for me tho .

Am I crazy to think that you are very unlikely to get an extra 11k out of a house because of some fancy doors? Do these doors open up to a view of a beach that was just built in Louisville?

The doors cost $11k. Need to make $11k just to break even on it!

They must be some amazing door to add that much value to a property.

adding $11K door to $130K house seems like FPS but what do I know

for that amount I'd rather renovate the bathrooms or the kitchen

There must be a better way to spend that 11k on the house than a door. I agree that its unlikely to add 11k value, though nobody can ever know how much value it adds, just seems bad. I did 15k to re plywood and vinyl a 600 square foot deck, custom railings and 8 foot wide 12x4" slap steps and don't think I'm getting that money back. All 4 quotes I got were the same.
