I don't think the $40k is a challenge playing a full time schedule. I think you could clear $60k at 1/3 playing a full-time schedule. It's an artificial challenge right now because you're limiting your hours. Hollow, if you will. The 1/2 $40k challenge was better, because you were trying. This one feels like a side-effect.

I do hope your surprise venture is starting back your court creation business. That was probably the best thing you've done career wise since being semi-retired. Heck, you could probably run that, add in a couple of other services, and be fully retired in 5-10 years if your monthly nut stayed between $2500-$3000.

Yeah, that looks like a great place to spend the upcoming summer. Much better than a poker room with a bunch of miserable ****s. Your wife has a good job, right? I was definitely on team "no pickleball court" but that has to have added some value to the property.

Roses are too much work. Rhododendrons if they will withstand the heat, plus spring bulbs, rudbeckia, echinacea, and fall bulbs. Maybe some hostas with different patterned leaves.

You have to have the center line to know if a serve close to the middle is good or not. I would bag the idea of flowers around the court - if you want flowers put them by the pool. Retrieving a ball under a rose bush is no laughing matter.

No more using the saw line cut for the service lines on both sides. Yes it worked, but if we want a truer pickleball court then we need a 2” wide line.

fwiw, winning at 1/3 doesn't require a lot of studing for some to beat handily. it's not that hard of a game. players play very face up and it would be fairly obvious to anyone who puts in enough volume at the stake, which i would say BS has actually done over the years.

do i think he can win at a descent 2/5 game? probably not from the livestream play and the hands posted, but anyone can run hot in any game and win...
