why you prefare 12 regs tabels and not 3-4 zoom tables ?
are you bored to search all time for the tables ? do you look for the short stack when you do table selection ? and what more ?
are your style ( or was ) hit or miss from 2nl to 5nl ? are you more tag than nit ?
how many h/hands of day you have ?

what can you say from your experience in grinding 2/5nl ? we still can print money with a tag style/focus/a lot of hours ?
Hello my friend and thanks.

I prefer 12 reg tables because thats what i enjoy the most and thats where i focus all of my reading at, i have completely no experience at zoom.

Getting bored is irrelevant when you have a goal. i choose the full tables that have no one else in waiting list (or just 1 person more) that have a high avg pot and player/flop ratio. I just look for a table with at least 1 big fish.

I would say im a combination of nit and tag. My style used to be hit or miss but the more hands i play and the more i study, the more it develops to a better one.

Well from my experience i can say that at least in 5nl you can make make money steadily if you read and care about improving. If i can do the same at 10nl or higher i dont know, keep following my thread and we will find out in the future

The best tip i can give to someone that cant beat 2 or 5 nl is to not play a single hand more before he reads at least 2 good books that talk only about full ring cash. Also while i read, i keep a notebook next to me and i write down everything that i think is important, this really helps me.

Bankroll: 670.01$ (435fpp, 700 used to sunday storm, didnt cash)

Goal 2: Reach goldstar: 893 vpp needed more.
Goal 3: Reach 1000 dollars to move to 10nl: 670.01/1000

Tried some hands on zoom to put in the volume needed. About half hands are on zoom and half on full ring.

I have to say you have a lot of dedication which i lack. A question is how much monthly do you need to earn to live comfortably? I am guessing that you will need to play 25NL or 50NL to earn enough monthly for living expenses and room for your bankroll to grow. In any case I am rooting for you. Goodluck.

Hello my friend and thank you. If i can earn 1000 euros per month i will be able to live comfortably here in greece, but that doesnt mean that i will stop trying to improve and earn more if i reach that point.

Also i dont plan to cash out before i reach my long term goals.

I am sure you will be successful and be able to support yourself and your grandmother with your dedication. Just always remember to save everything you can and not splurge on things you don't need until you have enough on your bankroll to withstand the crazy swings of the profession you have chosen. Hope to see you on the tables whenever fulltilt and pokerstar returns to the US.

Dont worry i waste nothing, i have 6 dollars to eat for the rest of the month and i still dont cash out any of the poker money because it will slow down my goals.

Great thread, keep it up! You're working hard enough that you're in danger of burn out long term; so while you're on your journey try and do whatever you can for balance; work out, eat healthy, and sleep when you can. Avoid drugs and alcohol.

Good luck at the tables!

GL man!! Nice thread and very inspiring! I see a straight red line most of time.
What's your non showdown bb/100? can you recommend any relevant article/book that helped you?
Have you made any serious adjustments between NL2 and NL5?
sry for many questions

hey man and thanks.

im not sure how to see non showdown bb/100. i will show u a graph of my lifetime hands with the non showdown line on maybe it will answer your question.

the books that helped me the most were ''crushing the microstakes'', ''dynamic full ring poker'', ''small stakes no limit hold'em'' and ''treat your poker like a business''.

I didn't make any adjustments between 2nl and 5nl, but by using 100 BI requirements, all those hands in 2nl prepared me for 5nl, and all those hands at 5nl are preparing me for 10nl. If you are a losing player right now, one of the best things you can do in my opinion is use 100 BI requirements. It will help you avoid moving too fast in stakes in case you run hot, and you will improve a lot as player because you will have to play a lot of hands in every stake in order to move up. Also with 100 buy ins, i had 3 big downswings, and it didn't affect my mood because i knew i had the bankroll to take the hit.

I hope i answered your questions good luck

Hey guys, finally got goldstar.

Bankroll: 758 $ 1800 FPP

Goal 2: Reach goldstar: Completed
Goal 3: Reach 1000 $ to move to 10nl: 758 / 1000

Playing a lot damaged my social life, so my next goal will be a real life one. Also i will try to limit my hands per day to 3k.

New goals!: Goal 4: get a new girlfriend

(will post pictures of us if i succeed )

My session today wasnt good but im not mad because i was running a lot above EV anyway, so i guess its just luck taking away what it gave me.
