Had a bit of a downswing last night which is never nice, will update with graphs later. Playing a few mtts today, Sunday mill, big 109/55/22/11 and Sunday Storm so hopefully bink something, although it's not going too well so far..

On about an 11k downswing for MTTs on Stars since my last decent sized score... getting quite frustrating now.

Built up a nice stack in the big 55 only to semi-bluff into AA and then lose my last 12bb with AA < 33 AIPF. Cashed in the milly then lost a 200k pot 88 < JJ CO vs BTN giving me about $360, fairly disappointing. I've just looked through my recent games as I didn't cash any of my last 14 6 max SNGs to try and see if I'm playing badly and I only found one hand that might not be a standard shove so advice appreciated.

Villain is a good reg, has a 46% raise out of SB (59 sample) but I'm assuming the MR should tell me something here? And I assume it's a standard stack off if he open jams? Maybe this is where I'm going wrong.

Maybe it's not as clear cut as I first thought but aggro regs are shoving very wide in these spots.

Elsewhere, played a few HUSNGs and obviously MTTs. Finished $55 down for HUSNGs and $155 down for MTTs so not a massive deal.

Here's how 6 max is going:

              7

EV doesn't look pretty but I'm confident that will improve. Currently in the hole a bit with make up but should be nothing a good grind can't change.

Quick update: Played a few MTTs with no luck, will probably stop playing them except maybe the milly + other special ones. 6 max is starting to go better although my volume is still poor. Seem to be getting distracted quite a lot half way through sessions so I end up stopping playing for ages and just sit on Facebook or something. I need roughly 2k VPPs per day for Supernova given that I have to take a few days off for Christmas. EV is starting to improve, feeling real good about my game and even though it's only been a couple of weeks, I feel like I can def hold my own at 30s/60s.

Cheers mate, how you been getting on? Haha I actually looked at the sats for UKIPT Edinburgh the other day but the thought of venturing that far north made me feel queasy! If I come I'll make a whole weekend of it though so we can hang out more than we did in Bristol (was majorly tilted after that).

I would get this under control before you start playing 60s or youre gonna lose your mind when you hit your first real swings there.

Overall I think I'm mentally strong enough to play these games without any real issues. I've probably played about 50k hyper turbo HUSNGs lifetime and that has definitely taught me about the swings that are possible in poker and while a year or so ago I used to rage tilt, very little actually impacts my play at the tables negatively anymore. Despite wanting to smash my laptop up on a daily basis I've never broken anything due to poker rage but I was getting pretty frustrated with the constant coolers over the last few days. It felt good releasing some of that anger obviously but I'm confident that I can control that moving forward.

              Big grind needed today!

*Warning - This post contains bad beats*

Time for a big update then. Been playing a few MTTs on the side which hasn't gone well at all and has left me in a fair bit of make up. Trying to decide whether I should stick with them or just focus on the 6 max hypers. I know I'm +ev in soft MTTs but I can't catch a break at the moment.

Here's a summary of how MTTs are going for me right now:

Was pretty close to some half decent scores. Finished 5th in a $51 hyper turbo 6 max MTT after losing a pot to go CL with 6 left, then running 77 into 88. Was in the round of 16 in the HU MTT until 55 < 77, that had $2.5k up top or something then lost a ~25k flip in the $77 turbo to go CL tonight. The score is coming.. But anyway all that results in this..

                        HU:

Not played a massive amount of HUSNGs, normally just play when action is slow at 6 max but it's been pretty uneventful and unsuccessful.

                        6 max:

Another format, another downswing. Feel like I'm playing well but my backer has told me to be more strict on my game selection at 60s. So now I'm sitting 15s/30s with any 60/100 that has 2 pure fish in it as opposed to just sitting unknowns. I'm really happy with my improvement here and I don't think it'll be long until I'm successful at these games. I know I haven't played many and the swings are crazy but I generally just feel that the majority of 6m regs are very poor HU (and there's a decent edge to be had), although not going to say why because a few will probably read this. Apart from that, once you have good ranges, it's hard to go too far wrong in these. In a fair chunk of make up at the mo but it's no big deal, just gotta keep grinding!

ARGH. Just busted 26th in a $82 hyper MTT where I was 5/26, even winning the 2nd pot takes me back to top 5/6. 4.5k up top

**** it. Deep in the hole but backer has sorted me out with some life expenses so I can get back to 6 max and not worry about the make up, although would have been nice to have binked a decent score there. Off out on a date tonight, maybe a woman is what I need to keep everything in perspective, think poker takes up too much of my life!

                            400 games tomorrow hopefully!

After not responding to my messages via facebook (and not being paid back for 2 months because he "doesn't have a computer"), OP (Michael Brock) sees my post itt (despite no activity for months) and responds to me:

Lol, just seen your post, I'm in the finishing stages of my uni dissertation and then I was going to get back to grinding in the next week or so but clearly you think I've scammed you. Do you think I would've given you my FB given my previous history if my intention was to scam you? I'm not that stupid. The money is there and I'll transfer it over to you asap. You can slander me on 2p2 if you like, I don't have a reputation to maintain, but I was honest before and that hasn't changed.
