Thanks for the support and from everyone else as well. I'll grind hard for 6 months and hopefully can get back up. I'll see where I'm at in May and try to sell a small pckg for the series.

How is the 2/5nl world at Thunder Valley? It is a nice looking property and I have been thinking of making TV a stop on a trip from Sonoma County?

PS. Suscribed and good luck

I don't know. I've only played there twice, but in that small sample it was a pretty easy game. Basically wait and get paid off.

The downsides for me are it's a 45min drive for me, it's 10 handed, the dealers and house rules are ******ed and rulings are inconsistent, and it's smokey. Other than that it's fine.

Up $1k in the 2/5. Playing pretty well. I folded KK pf for the second time in my life. I didn't show my hand and just mucked nonchalantly and the guy shows me AA anyways. In other news, a guy I have 10% of who started the day second to last in chips, is on the bubble with a big stack. So got a shot to break even if he binks.

Playing with Allyn J Shulman to my right. She runs pretty well. Sits down and doubles up J8s vs AJ. And QQ vs KK. Firdt two hands. She wears her wsop bracelet.

AJS offered me half of her breakfast burrito. Lol. This bitch sat down to my left and thinks she's so hot lol. Makes an inadvertant racist comment. Name is Valerie. I told her she should get around more.

At the airport now. My prediction on the ME is that it'll probably be Tom Marchese and Ryan T hu. Looking at future schedules. I have 123 poy points lol. I want to play the wsop circuit at the Bike in Jan. It costs $3960 to play all 4 poy events including the ME. I'm going to try and save to be able to play that. Want to keep chasing the big one so then I can bink and just get permanent backing and not have to grind cash. Just keep trying to build up my results until someone notices. After Thanksgiving I'll be grinding pretty hard again.

Like this thread... Not attempting to derail. You do realize saying "so gay" is the same thing as making a racist comment, right?

You be crazy Sang. I know a lot of solid live tourney players who are backed and almost all of them are in big makeup and pretty close to busto. Going from a beastly cash game player making $100ish/hr to a backed tourney player is just silly imo. Obviously cash games are more of a grind but at least it's consistent income and you can still sell pieces to play in tournaments.

No it's not. I'm with Louis C.K. and Nick Swardson on this one.

Yeah I've heard that from a few people as well. You're right. I would like to be able to just sell a lot of action and never be in mu. So in reality I guess I'll never be able to stop grinding cash. But I really enjoy playing tourneys and wouldn't mind being able to sell big packages even if I only have 20% of myself. I wish the mods would hurry up and approve my marketplace status.

Random question from someone who respects your play. Why do you typically buy in so deep when playing cash when it seems your roll is relatively short and you get tilted from the suck outs? It does seem like you have good tilt control but perhaps you should sacrifice a little bit of $EV for life EV and buy in less deep ...

Pretty funny, just saw the results of the V ME. The top 3 guys have like $20k in cashes between all of them. And the dude who won onlyonly had 1 lifetime cash for $1800 lol.

I feel like I play better and get better reads and actually lose less when I'm deeper. When I'm too shallow I feel like I'm pot committed in some spots I'd be able to get away from when I'm deeper. Plus I have to play a lot tighter when I'm shorter which I'm not as good doing.

Played a short session the day I returned home. I wouldn't have even ventured out as we had a 7hr drive to Long Beach the next day for Thanksgiving, but I wanted to hit that guy up regarding the propping job. He told me he had a spot for me, but wasn't able to give me a start date. So I guess we'll see.

Session was unfortunately a continuation of my runbad in Vegas.

I sat at the 1/2/4 to come in game. This is the second hand that I'm dealt.
Effective stacks about 340.

It is straddled for 4.

PF: 2 limpers, Villain in HJ limps, button limps, sb calls, Hero calls in bb w/ 99, straddle checks.

Flop(23): A J 9r
check, hero bets 15, folds to villain who calls, rest fold.

Turn(53): 7
Hero bets 40, Villain calls.

River(133): J
Hero bets 135, Villain makes a pained look on a his face, sighs and then shoves.

So ok alarm bells go off that he has what he thinks is a monster hand. It's basically double what I bet to call. I tank for awhile and think maybe J9 or AJ. I have no reads on him since it's my second hand the table. I want to fold, but have played enough low stakes to know that people are bad enough to hollywood shove w/ hands like JT-KJ as well and maybe he could have 77 too. So I call and get shown AA lol.

To make it even more annoying I had my hand kind of up while I was contemplating a call, and after the hand I say, "Set over set so I guess it's whatever." Then muck my hand. Then this idiot over to my right says, "Set over set? I saw a T. You didn't have 99. I saw a T. You probably had JT." This is all AFTER, he asks to see my hand, but couldn't because the dealer mucked it quickly. God these low stakes tards are so tilting.

I move up to the 2/5/10 game once a seat opens up. I wasn't really too amped on playing since every single fish had left except Reuben Sandwich and his latest collusion buddy. But game was still soft and the rest of the seats were just filled w/ bad short stackers.

Anyways my session boiled down to flopping top two twice and getting sucked out on the turn. One to a 3 outter(better two pair) and another to a gut shot which I was able to get away from on the turn. Then ending by inadvertently trying to bluff a guy off of trips.

Effective stacks about 635.

PF: Folds to hero on button who makes it 30 w/ 64, Villain in sb calls, straddle calls.

Flop(90): 3 4 5
Checks to hero who bets 35, sb and straddle both call.

Turn(195): 9
checks to hero who bets 100, sb calls, fold.

River(395): 9
Villain leads 95, Hero shoves, villain tanks for about 3 or 4 min. Saying stuff like, "I'm about to make a super loose call. Oh my God! I can't believe I'm about to call this." So obv I'm thinking in my head that I'm about to get hero'd by 56 which is what I put him on when I shoved.

He says, "Ok whatever I like to gamble!" As he slides his chips forward. I tell him he's good and he flips over, 97 lol geebus. I pick up and leave immediately.

Enjoying Thanksgiving w/ family in Long Beach currently which is nice. Won't be any poker until next Tue.

It's nice to have Marketplace approval now. I posted my Bike Pkg and an event I will play next weekend. Hopefully I run well. I expect next week's event to be a pretty soft field so have a good feeling about a deep run.

Gutter's already booked for 10% on all of it.
