Played a short session the day I returned home. I wouldn't have even ventured out as we had a 7hr drive to Long Beach the next day for Thanksgiving, but I wanted to hit that guy up regarding the propping job. He told me he had a spot for me, but wasn't able to give me a start date. So I guess we'll see.
Session was unfortunately a continuation of my runbad in Vegas.
I sat at the 1/2/4 to come in game. This is the second hand that I'm dealt.
Effective stacks about 340.
It is straddled for 4.
PF: 2 limpers, Villain in HJ limps, button limps, sb calls, Hero calls in bb w/ 99, straddle checks.
Flop(23): A J 9r
check, hero bets 15, folds to villain who calls, rest fold.
Turn(53): 7
Hero bets 40, Villain calls.
River(133): J
Hero bets 135, Villain makes a pained look on a his face, sighs and then shoves.
So ok alarm bells go off that he has what he thinks is a monster hand. It's basically double what I bet to call. I tank for awhile and think maybe J9 or AJ. I have no reads on him since it's my second hand the table. I want to fold, but have played enough low stakes to know that people are bad enough to hollywood shove w/ hands like JT-KJ as well and maybe he could have 77 too. So I call and get shown AA lol.
To make it even more annoying I had my hand kind of up while I was contemplating a call, and after the hand I say, "Set over set so I guess it's whatever." Then muck my hand. Then this idiot over to my right says, "Set over set? I saw a T. You didn't have 99. I saw a T. You probably had JT." This is all AFTER, he asks to see my hand, but couldn't because the dealer mucked it quickly. God these low stakes tards are so tilting.
I move up to the 2/5/10 game once a seat opens up. I wasn't really too amped on playing since every single fish had left except Reuben Sandwich and his latest collusion buddy. But game was still soft and the rest of the seats were just filled w/ bad short stackers.
Anyways my session boiled down to flopping top two twice and getting sucked out on the turn. One to a 3 outter(better two pair) and another to a gut shot which I was able to get away from on the turn. Then ending by inadvertently trying to bluff a guy off of trips.
Effective stacks about 635.
PF: Folds to hero on button who makes it 30 w/ 6

, Villain in sb calls, straddle calls.
Flop(90): 3
4
5
Checks to hero who bets 35, sb and straddle both call.
Turn(195): 9
checks to hero who bets 100, sb calls, fold.
River(395): 9
Villain leads 95, Hero shoves, villain tanks for about 3 or 4 min. Saying stuff like, "I'm about to make a super loose call. Oh my God! I can't believe I'm about to call this." So obv I'm thinking in my head that I'm about to get hero'd by 56 which is what I put him on when I shoved.
He says, "Ok whatever I like to gamble!" As he slides his chips forward. I tell him he's good and he flips over, 9

lol geebus. I pick up and leave immediately.
Enjoying Thanksgiving w/ family in Long Beach currently which is nice. Won't be any poker until next Tue.
It's nice to have Marketplace approval now. I posted my Bike Pkg and an event I will play next weekend. Hopefully I run well. I expect next week's event to be a pretty soft field so have a good feeling about a deep run.
Gutter's already booked for 10% on all of it.
