This is a thread to keep record for a prop bet that i took with a friend.

Story:

The last two months i didnt grind a nice volume because i had a big downswing which demotivated me to play poker at all.My regular stake is 15$ and i used to play 60-80 sng per day.I forgot to mention that my game is full ring turbos.A friend of mine told me that i will never be able to come back and put a nice volume even in 7$ because this downswing was big and i have no mood to play poker even for fun.Then i told him i can easily play 4500 sng in one month if it is in 7$.He disagreed and we made a prop bet of 300$


My calculations:
I need to play 4500 sng in order to win this prop bet.I will take Sundays off.In the period of 26 days i need to play 4500 sng.I need to play approximately 175 sng per day.THis is near double the volume i used to grind.This would be interesting to see if i can win


Rules are:
Grind 7$ limit for 4500sng until 31st March
Have 4% roi or better

I will update this blog twice per day so i can keep my motivation for grinding.The dowswing make this really hard but i have to win the prop

I have been cooled early stages and runned card dead in bubble for so long.The red line is in minus.Obviously when you run so bad your line will be very bad.I run/played bad in bubble and in 3 man stage

I will take a break for 5 hours to see my hands and my mistakes.The play is different from 15$ and i need to adapt

My first impression after two months serious grinding?I need to train a bit in icm obviously.Moreover i have to watch some training videos because my play lacks a lot when 3 people left.Propably i will have some time in Saturday for that.Moreover i will need 2-3hours to review my hands on bubble because i feel i am missing something and i could have bigger roi.Two months playing extremely low volume poker made my play a bit rusty.I will need propably one whole day to review spots in bubble and 3 people stages

Currently i am in running good mode but i am dissapointed with my general play.I really feel that i dont play my A game and i make a few more bad plays.Today i feel lacking hard in heads up.I still having trouble when only 3 people left.Moreover i need to not shove so wide in bubble because even the fishes are calling wide lol.I will take a break now and play in 5 hours again

My second session really really sucked.I pushed 10 straight times from sb and i runned into an ace.10 straight times.LOL

In heads up whenever i pushed pair or ace or KT+ i went into a bigger hand.Ofc i won sometimes but thats why my red line is destroyed and my green line is fine

Second session was so boring,so cruel.There isnt a more frustrating thing in poker than running dead card and when you have a pushing hand you run into a bigger hand.Even though my lines showing i am running good i can see how dead i am in card.In 87 games i dealt aces 3 times and kings 2 times.So lol

Not whining at all.I know there will be the time that i will be dealt aces and kings in 10 tables in the same time and i will laugh hard.The only thing i need is to study so i can improve and find my fitness


Even though i never table select(which i should) i have a nice roi of 7.7% and a fine adjusted one of 4.8%.I guess if i would table select i would have 2% more roi minimum.But for now volume is all want

And today i will leave the grinding behind and study.Maybe i will play 50-60 sngs to keep my progress but i have so many hands to review especially in late stages(bubble,3 man,heads up) that i will need 4-5 hours only for them.If i add 2hours to watch training videos and 2 hours more to train in icm then i need only 9 hours for studying.I quess this prop bet motivated me a lot


I will be unhappy to finish the prop with 4% roi.I will be more happy with a 5%+ roi but i dont know if it is possible because i play 20+ tables and i dont table select

I found to small leaks of mine during reviewing my hands:


-I adjust my raises better now.For example i remember the optimal raise sizes for my hands.For example i used to raise 150 t50 while optimal is 125 with 99.Etc
-Secondly for some reason i used cbet rarely in early game.I found which spots are better to cbet and vs which kind of players
-Thirdly i adjusted my resteal ranges vs regular and fishes


I only played 50 games and these today because it was sick how many hours i needed to review all my hands played and hands that i fold and should have played.I thought 4-5 hours would be enough but i had 12 hours reviewing which was exhausting.I will be happy if i reach 150 games today aka 100 more

I watched two training videos from a professional player that really remembered me a lot things from playing sngs.Hopefully i can reduce the variance this way

I the next 3 days i will visit 3 doctors for personal problems.I will have to check my eyes because propably will make a laser surgery,one dermatologist because i have some red points in my skin when i take a bath and i have a problem that i cant loose weight even though i dont eat much so this will be my third visit.Obviously my volume the next three days will be less and obviously my idiot friend dont give even one day more for the prop

I will be more than happy if i reach this volume the next three days:
-Tuesday 100sngs
-Thursday 120 sngs
-Wednesday 120 sngs


Obviously i will not take one Sunday of this month off so i can replace the lost volume

You really expect your friend to give you an extra day when youre electively going to the doctor for minor things?

I really admire your work ethic when it comes to studying. I prob study 1 hour for every 15 i play. Whenever i try and start a study session i get distracted and quit.

As far as losing weight you obv need to exercise. Id also suggest doing a juice fast to jumpstart a diet. That might help with your skin problems too.

I dont think that doctor appointments that are scheduled one month ago and there seriously health problems are minor

I do exercise and have a proper diet but i cant loose weight because i have a problem and i follow a medical guidance for it.Hopefully i will hear some good news

Going through your database to find hands you got sucked out on is really unhealthy. You just have to play through it. Ive played over 100k games in the last year and have seen variance you wouldnt believe. I know in the middle of a downswing it can seem like its rigged and youre never gonna run good again but you will. You have to just stay on the top of your game and make sure you limit the amount you lose during the bad times and keep putting in the games.
