Hello everybody,
Basically im making a thread on here to progress my journey through the levels of poker. I will update this daily with hands/ general stuff. Now I will give a little background on myself.

Age: 18 (couple weeks off 19 fml..)
Location: N.Ireland
Gender: Unknown.

Poker Background:

Have been playing since I was 16. Sorry to get your hopes up but im no irish prodigy, well not yet. I pissed about in freerolls when I was 16 due to the inability to deposit. I won the Uk freeroll on full tilt hmm maybe 3 times (free 25$) and that has ever since got me hooked.

Fast forward to 18 and after losing 4k in money that was basically all rakeback (oh the joys of not knowing how to play). I decided to make a real account and deposit. I whored stars and full tilt bonuses and didnt do to bad. I didnt take it to serious and well after a near year I have only made around 6k in profits.

I grinded from 5nl to 50nl then nothing much happened from there. I broke even at 50nl 6max and beat 50nl hu fairly comfortably. Now I am to date, and I want to take this seriously as I currently cant do much irl due to fun fun illnesses.

If you have managed to make it this far the plan is to deposit a fairly small fund to try and build up my game again. The things that have been holding me back in poker should be fairly easy fixes and I feel I will be crushing in no time.

If you are a breakeven player or even a losing player I would really advise just starting from near the bottom or as low as possible were you feel comfortable you can beat the limit... If you cant beat 10nl your sure as hell not going to be able to beat 50nl.. Beats breaking even too..

I sometimes stream while playing online poker just for the fun of it and I might end up doing it to keep me paying full attention.

I will post hands that hopefully can generate discussion + biggest losing/winning hands. The goal is to update it every couple of days and I will try to answer all questions/messages.

Thats about all I can think of, if I remember anything else Ill put it in. Thanks for reading and enjoy my little journey.

The site of my choice is an Ipoker skin thanks to my euroness.

Starting roll for Ladbrokes. Hopefully my rakeback works out and I get around 40% (fingers crossed)

Sorry for not updating so far. I kind of forgot and have been playing a lot of sc2 (my bad). My results have been what I have expected, not the best due to me still being rusty. The aim is to play 40k hands this month and try and get into the swings of things again. I will post the graph and 2 winning hands/losing hands.. By the looks of it when I upload the hand history is doesnt show me as hero.. So everybody first 2 hands are my winners/ last 2 are my losers.. Thanks for reading.

Wow.. How I missed variance. I completly forgot how fun poker was some times. I feel very happy with myself that I grinded through and got back to breakeven. Usually when I lose, I like to lose a lot. Im playing 50nl instead of 20nl because tbh im fed up of playing so low and I feel comfortable playing 50nl.

Still very very rusty and I went through a spew period during these 4k hands. I must say its one of my worst hands played ever.. Ill have to post it for the laughs...

^^Above post. I play Hu with anyone if there are no games running or the games collapse. The annoying thing is if you get stuck and the game starts to fill its pointless any dynamic you have gotten with the villian because now the whole game flow changes.. Usually a lot of people will play a couple of hands then bail which also can be annoying but I Havent went out of my way to specifically play hu. I tried to earlier on but the action for hu on the site is pretty poor.

Rakeback deal is 10 - 50% depending on how much volume I play. At first I thought it would be easy but daaam gotta get the grind on to get that 50%. Which in a way is a good thing because it forces me to grind to stay up with the rakeback. I got a $1000 deposit bonus but I dont have a clue how Ill claim that.

Yesterday was very nice indeed.. I didnt play at all during the day which I kind of regret but instead decided to play at about 3am in the morning. It usually isnt the best of ideas as the action is terrible at this time but for some reason I was able to get 5 games running and let me tell you these were the softest games I have ever played in. Add some nice run good and there you have a nice session.

The only sad thing was there was a really bad reg who was short stacking and was being such a prick. Berating the fish etc and saying im the worst etc. I just lold it off and said things like "mate the only fish at this table is you." He also liked to say my hand range while a fish was in the hand with me which was fun but whatever.. He claimed that he is the biggest winner at this limit and has played hundreds of thousands of hands.. I checked him out on google and well what do you know hes been playing on the site for 7 years and still doesnt know the difference between fold equity and pot equity..

                This ones for you "Benwahballs"

This hand was kinda meh. Fish was utg + 1 and i was iso failry light. Villian was a 29/21 and was fairly nitty postflop. I stoved his range and I was suprised at how far i was behind even if he has sets/2 pair (which i doubt he has) etc.. meh

Reason for calling pre was short stacker was shoving nearly atc prior to this but in hind sight this is probably a fold with the fish behind.. Im not sure seeing as we will be ahead of the fishs range too but being oop sucks. RUN GOOOOOOOD..

Sorry for no updates yet again... Havent played any were near as much as I would like. Im going to stick to 6 - 8 tables to really try and work on my postflop game. I am still noticing some obvious leaks in my games which I hope to fix up to get out of this breakeven patch.

I uploaded a 50nl 6maxx 6 table video, which to say the least has quite a few interesting spots. I live commentary in it. I must say its funny hearing yourself try to think out a thought process in a small amount of time.

Anyway here is the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AF9920D0

Hope I get some feedback on the video as there are some spots im sure will get discussed. Thanks very much.
