Weird day today, games were flying off super early this morning (like 14.5 hrs ago, super early), but had the lag going on so I was forced to quit. After that the games were just super slow and very reggy the rest of the morning all the way until like the very end of peak time during mid-late afternoon here, finally started flyinggggg off, albeit still very very reggy games.

Probably shoulda backed out during my afternoon session earlier than I did, was getting pretty frustrated plus the group of regs loading were all pretty decent, along with the fact that a couple of the 'fish' that were loading weren't all that bad...led to quite a few kinda gross games.

When I did finally quit loading, did an ~2.5 hour review with a buddy over skype/TVer, definitely gained out of it and looking fwd to doing another one soon.

So yea, all in all, today wasn't that great, decent enough vpps though considering I didn't grind that much. Hopefully games will be better tomorrow!

Just posting Sep results. Partly because theyre ridic compared to jdawg's recen swings and because ive been a lazy boozing POG the last couple days.

Ended up running 4kish above at SNGs. Broke even at MTTs, maybe up with my bounties from the 700ko, but w/e. Good month.



Started oct off bad but catching back up. Need to start mixing 100s in during peak to get on pace, but im cashng out to 20k and scurred so well see. glgl

Yeah, that is a Super Sick view. Also, must be super tilting to be disconnecting and lagging a bunch. With the super thin margins on those games and all. Good luck, I am knew to 2+2, but have read through a bunch of your pages. Your thread is both entertaining and inspiring. Keep it up both of you guys.

As for the lag you're experiencing, is that due to your location? Sorry for all the questions, but it's always in the back of my mind to move to San Diego and commute to Rosarito for poker instead of staying in Portugal. But the internet problems sound like they might be a dealbreaker for me. Is it a constant problem?

The lag was due to the pokerstars server update, nothing to do with Rosarito.

With that being said, the internet in Tijuana is much better than in Rosarito. There are a couple guys who live/work in TJ who have said this, including Gramps, who stayed in Rosarito for a while before switching his commute to Tijuana. I think for the most part, he hasn't really had any internet problems at all, and when he does, he has backup aircard.

The main problem in Rosarito is the house internet just goes out quite often (probably ~2 times/week) and the aircards aren't always super reliable, albeit they do work probably ~98% of the time. That 2% gets quite expensive quickly though with the games that we play . I'm kind of a dolt though, there's a 2nd aircard company (moviestar) that like nobody other than Ruse has as a 2nd backup, I really need to invest in one of these as that should solve my problems.

I've probably only lost ~$2k this yr due to internet problems, my 2 'big' losses (probably ~$12k worth) this yr have come from power outages, both times in January before I had a backup supply, once again, me being a true dolt

Just woke up, super late for me as I usually wake up like between 5-6 hours ago to jump on that early grind. Didnt read any other posts than sly's, so will respond to anything else later. Gonna maybe grind, or maybe just take today off, not sure yet. Have plans to meet up with this chick tonight in TJ so will be out super late and probably not home til the morning as we usually just end up grabbing a hotel in TJ rather than me driving her back to my place then all the way back to TJ the next morning

Yup, I have the worst internet provider in TJ and it's still fine for poker, have to switch to aircard every now and then. Not much worse than Vancouver was in that regard.

That's Spanky from Our Gang. That show was created almost 100 years ago if you can believe it.

I commute from a few miles North of downtown SD to a place just across the border in TJ (3-4 minutes once cross). ~25 min door-to-door going in, add 5-15 minutes usually on the way back.

Add ~20-25 minutes if you're driving to downtown Rosarito area. There are places like San Antonio Del Mar or Playas de TJ that are ~10 (?) minutes closer. Best neighborhood in TJ (Agua Caliente) would be standard 10-15 minutes once you cross, plus the traffic can pick up in the afternoon.

Too much baby gif inspiration going on in these parts lately IMO.

Ended up being feeling like **** on Thursday and didn't play much and slept for most of the day, the little I did play I played absolutely terribly and my redline really sunk. Pretty pissed about it because after yesterday my redline would be close to b/e again if I didn't play so terribly Thursday, but instead it's still like -12k or something like that

Yesterday I ended up playing a lower table count for most of the day and felt I was playing a bit better and not missing as many spots, hovering more around an avg table count of 13 instead of 18. Probably going to continue doing that going fwd, especially during afternoon peak time where quite often I'll be able to keep like 10-15 $300s-500s up at a time, anytime they're poppin off quickly I'll probably just not load any 200s and below, or just grab the softest 200s.

Hoping to put up a good grind today, really all has depended on how the games have been lately though. Wednesday + Thursday there wasn't much traffic and when there was, the games seemed super reggy on avg which is just a terrible combination, hopefully games will stay good today as Sunday afternoon is usually just the nut worst, although randomly some of the HS recs will be loading so (yn) to that. Guessing though that I won't get in much volume on Sunday once Gramps gets online.

Popped an adderall today for the first time in forever and wound up grinding a tonnnnn of hrs and easily coulda played more; kept stopping anytime the games got too gross. Unfortunately the main side effect of adderall for me is that I get insane stomach cramps, I don't notice it while I'm grinding as I'm so zoned in, but as soon as I'm done, my focus just switches to how much my stomach hurts.

Was planning on taking one again tomorrow, probably will tbh; would like to use them Friday-Sunday when the traffic is usually great and then Mon-Thurs take off so I don't build up a tolerance or addiction. We'll see how I feel in the morning.

Games were pretty decent today, didn't run at periods of times but for the most part there was a steady stream of playable games which was nice. Ran just ridiculousssssssssss today in CD, both preflop CD and also flop CD, seemed like 3/4ths of the time I got it in with a pair vs 2 overs the overs snap came OTF which kills EV. Also seemed to run pair into higher pair an absurd amount and def didn't cooler people back that much. Annoying for sure, esp since my EV took a good sized dip, but not much you can do and the sample I've put in is still really meaningless.

I'm winning chips at T20/T30 4-6handed which is something that I didn't do my first go around at the HS's, so that's a promising sign imo. Also am running a tonnn under 3-3h and HU, and my HU evbb/100 is very close to 3, and a bit over 3 chips per hand, another promising sign imo.

Thx, u2! Were you remembering to eat regularly? It could just be stomach pain from being hungry and not realising it because you're so focused on what you're doing that the thought doesn't enter your mind until your done. Adderall suppresses appetite so could be it.
