What's up 2+2,

I've tried to do one of these threads 2 years ago and unfortunately nobody was reading it so hopefully this will change.

About me:

I'm a student and semi professional poker player for a couple of years now. Turning 26 tomorrow and hopefully get myself a nice birthday present with a WCOOP bracelet.

Started playing in 2008 with 180 sngs and then transitioned to MTTs. I do mix in zoom cash games when I don't fell like grinding for a bunch of hours straight.

I didn't really grind much this year only got 1k games for 2015 on my resume but I was obv running pretty well.

2015:

The reason why I didn't grind much this year is that I was finishing uni in august and now only got my master's thesis left and then Iam finally done. Despite not playing much I was doing a lot of studying(poker) away from the tables doing a lot of hand history reviews, watching videos etc to keep up with the courve.

Within the past 5k games I:

Chopped a SCOOP event for 36k
Won the sunday brawl for 47k
Came 2nd in the 215 TCOOP for 65k
Won the bigger 162 for 46k
and just recently won the Bigger 55 for 24k

This sums up my results on major final tables to three 1st place finishes, 1 2nd and 1 chop which is obviously due to some unbelievable run good.

Goals for this thread:

- keep this thread up for the whole WCOOP
- get a bunch of readers and talk a lot of ****
- Post at least 1 interesting hand during or after every session
- Obv win a WCOOP but more importantly try and bring my A-game to all the events
- Try to not degenrate during WCOOP and hit the gym before every session
- Try and get my girlfriend to stay with me despite playing 28hours every day

I will try to play most of the NLHE events and maybe one or two PLOs even though I suck at PLO.

GL me

ffs. Gotta love them PSKOs though. At least this time the heads up wasn't for 50k. Still gutted to lose heads up in those.

Key hand of the day:

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...528_D7DBB62394

Villain is a reg. Not sure how good though. My image was very loose at that point which eliminates AK-AJ from his range I think. Maybe not AJ but AK-AQ defo 3 bets imo. I think he doesnt lead anything worse for value on the river neither do I think he blocking bets a weaker ace. I think it is quite possible for him to play a flush that way. Anyway I decided that I can make him fold better and went with it. I also dont think he has a boat. If he decided to lead a boat on the river I think he would shove or at least bet bigger than half pot. Could be very possible that vs most players this is just a fold otr. I don't really like calling .

Thoughts?

Vs unknown reg I'd be deciding between call or fold otr, but hard to see a decent reg take this line with a bluff ever so I'm likely folding. I'm guessing his flushes that get to river like this are most likely strong/nutflushes since his smaller flushes should be more inclined to x/r flop for value and protection. So on river when his range is mostly strong flushes with some weaker ones, few unlikely combo's of boats (A4 in his range?) and maybe a few spazzy bluffs, I would prob still fold bc I don't expect many people (unknown regs) to fold better than AQ there, even tho in theory it should be very hard to call with flushes. You're pretty deep in the tourney tho so there will be more incentive for him to really think it through and not just sighcall.

I guess in short this is too sick of a bluff for me to pull but it should be a pretty sweet spot if villain has a nice and visible fold button

Thanks, appreciate the comment. I totally agree that this is usually a fold since a lot of players dont have a bluffing range in that spot and feel committed with a flush.

Really excited about the WCOOP starting tmrw so I will spend the last hours today doing some preparations. Already filled up my fridge with a lot of food and my roommate/brother already said he will prepare the meals while I'm playing as long as i pay for it.

Got my push/fold/call chart finally working with macros. It is now very clearly arranged and quickly to use.Even though these spots won't come up very often in a WCOOP I still think that it is very important to not make any mistakes with short stacks.

Also got my set up sorted with three 27" monitors. I usually grind on 2 and got the other one for all the lobbies, HM and stuff but will probably use the 3rd one as well during WCOOP. My plan will be to play 4 tables on every screen maybe up to 6 during peek times.

Here is my schedule for tmrw. Feel free to comment about the tourneys. I am happy for any suggestions to improve the schedule:

First day of WCOOP is over for me.

Summary:
Didn't go too well. Managed to get some stacks and had a deep run in the sunday major on ftp and the $200 on party but couldn't quite close it in the end.

Couple hands from the session:

Still need to work on my wcoop run good but I am pretty happy about my game today.
Also managed to get my workout in before the session. Hopefully I can keep that up tomorrow

Graph of my session today on stars in BB: looks like I didn't start off too well.

Hopefully we can close the day tmrw with a nice win.

ffs. Can't win them flips in the end.

Not too happy with how I played today. Started pretty good but then made a few big mistakes. Especially how I busted the $700 PSKO was pretty bad. Gonna try and find that hand tmrw.

As far as my run good goes since WCOOP started. Looks like I am quite a bit over EV

Hand of the day:

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...690_BBF741F666

Preflop: Obv pretty pretty loose but w/e
Flop: I think cbet is fairly std vs the BB whos probably defending a wide range. I have all backdoor straightdraws and an overcard so very happy with that.
Turn: I think the Q is pretty good for me. Not only do I pick up a gotshot but I have a lot more Qx that cbet obv than he c/c the flop with. He probably has Q7s Q5s QJ and maybe some QTs that floated the flop. Turn is close though between checking and betting I think. With the Kh or 9h i think it becomes an easier bluff
River: This is where the hand becomes interesting. I think a lot of players would check back here with the rivered 9. Obv we dont have showdown value or at least very little. On this river a lot of our bluffs are now straights and most of those straight combos are not in villains range. T8s, 68s and KTo and KTs. That is 24 straigt combos.+ 12 set combos and 18 or so 2 pair combos. I think a lot of players especially MTT players tend to overfold this river especially with hands they should be bluff catching such as JT, J8 and Kj.

Thoughts???

Moral of the hand: Fold pre. Or miss the flop then realized you made a bad open and then triple barrel bluff

Subbed

Nh, pbb bet flop bit smaller and turn bit bigger. Also pre is somewhat ambitious without antes, would def fold k8o

Best of luck in wcoop

Does anyone know how to see the numbers of BBexpectations in HM2?
And also how do you put in images in the text, instead of URL?
