A lesson about being balanced.

When i learned poker it was very simple at first glance.
I got my hand chart and sticked to it.
I saw that my opponents would fold to most of my raises, so i started bluffing as an aggrotard until they started calling.
Then i switched back to my hand chart.

I thought it was common knowledge. If opponents don't want to pay you off - take their pots. If they don't want to give up pots - bet better hands that they tend to have.

Later i started to gain more knowledge. Ranges, balancing and all that "difficult" things started to appear and i thought "hey, poker is a really complex game".

And it is. As complex as the player before you. When you figure out the player you figure out the game.

That being said... Do i really need to be balanced at the micros? Do i need to bluff every player, or do i need to call every player? (from time to time)

I guess even higher up the answer is quite simple.

DATABASES ARE TILTING ME!!!!

So...

After 10 days of absence from foruming i am back with good news and bad news.

Good news are that i will probably be staked and coached. Cant wait to learn.

Time for bad news.
Imported about 3M hands (db size ~50GB).
Something went bad and no graphs or stats. Even one day is loading endlessly.
Deleted DB. Started importing again and deleted again... This is really taking too long.
I realised that my drive need more space, cause postgesql cant rebuild cache if free space is less than size of that database.
So i need to format and resize my drive if i want to do it right.

By the way, my BR is a little over 120€, so things are looking good, but i am not satisfied with my game over last 2 days. I am drifting.

For anyone interested: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/78...-drift-410738/

I changed living places, so now i'm in a very quitet neighborhood with a lot or space in my room. AND a nice internet connection.

So, first is my graph from this month of nl2.

I played also zoom, but left it completely, as hourly is not even close to normal tables.

BR right now is 25€, need to pay a rent etc.

Well, i'm back. Time to learn and grind.
Where is that falling to ~&$ you mentioned after zoom crushed you ?

It was graph from nl2 normal tables. About zoom - i just got terrible session with many coolers and bad setups (and idiotic plays by me) and felt crushed inside.

Thats all there was to it.

Paid my bills, bought some food and a whole 40€ is left for me to start this month with.

I also made a topic in theory subforum, but got only 1 response.
Maybe i should ask mods to move it to begginers?

Anyway, here it is

I doubt if anybody cares, but i got a staking deal this month.
After a coaching session my play seem to improve.
I think more, and play less tables, lol.

Thinking is not overrated in poker i guess.
