I done the whole online poker scene and I didn't enjoy it mainly because I can only beat the weakest of competition. Its reasonable for me to want a bankroll to play live because playing with scared money sucks so not sure why you guys are making fun of me but thats cool, glad I can make you laugh.

Online poker is good because it lets you get in a lot more hands for practice and you can play at smaller stakes that they dont spread live. I mean even a 4k roll at 1-2 is pretty small and with your apparent income and expenses that would take a while to save up. Id just put 20-50 bucks on there and play around at small stakes. Play money is just a waste of time.

If people are making fun of you it's because this is a poker forum and you dont seem keen on playing any poker.

Thats because I currently don't have the money to play the level of poker I want to. Playing with $20-50 is a waste of time IMO. I can link you to my online thread if you wish.

maybe try out on of the endless poker-bankroll sites to get yourself 20-50$ on a ipoker site or something to get indo the real money grind again.

Day: Another Day.

I went to a friends house last night we played drunk chess all night and I'm hungover at work. I left my queen open for like 5 moves and neither of us saw it until he finally he took it with his bishop. I won all 4 games.

How would I get staked for live poker?

I have great poker skills you should see me in action when I open up play money tables, I own them like Tony G owns Phil Hellmuth.

Hero is dealt 95 in the big blind, 6 players limp in and I check.

7 players to the flop the pot is £14 and I have a stack of about £180 (I had no money to top up).

Flop is 996

I go ahead and bet $15 and get 2 callers. Pot is now £59.

Turn is 7

I go ahead and bet the pot, with my flopped 3-of-a-kind, turned gut-shot 8 ball, next player to act moves in, the other guy folds. I know he has a good hand but he's not very good at reading boards compared to his hand. So he might have pocket Tens or Jacks thinking they are good, whatever I can't fold and I call the rest of my stack. I show my hand and he sheepishly turns over pocket kings.

River is the K and I lose blah blah blah blah blah blah

Day: Like the Last day

Another day in my loser life but still feeling optimistic about my future chances to play poker more seriously and a little better than what I'm doing now. I guess whats stopping me is that I don't want to go into debt over it but maybe there will come a point when I don't care about the money and just go for it. I don't think I played badly at all last time just playing my normal game which is just folding and waiting for good cards to value bet with.

I can give you two advices:

First, if you're really that low on money, do not go to the gim, you can exercise at home if you want and that would give you 25 buck/month. Not much, but it looks like that everey penny matters for you right now.

Second, no, you're not that good at poker. Play money tables are filled with donks. You're just a little less donk than them. Play for real money and play in the microstakes, be humble, learn the game and build up your bankroll.

Here was my online attempt! Worst time of my life. My social life took a nose dive, isolated, depressed, miserable, angry person I had become. Playing live is like a breath of fresh air and is far more enjoyable. Plus its just as easy and you get to play big pots which is exciting.
