Regs that adapt too much in a very obvious way and play really face up without any system to randomize their plays or at least even trying to hide their exploits. They also underestimate some regs that are capable and end up trying to exploit them when they have no business going into that direction.

Imo the biggest difference between a good reg and a bad reg is that the good reg knows people he can abuse and people he can't.

how could you ever possibly know if people randomize or not? you really overestimate your ability and what youre capable of judging.

What matters most is winrate and its obviously a bad reg is someone who is breakeven or losing longterm( at least 300-500k hands, although I think 1m is the best sample to see true winrate)
I think every reg has played a certain amount of hands in which they ended up adapting too much thus leading to bad decisions and being the bad reg.

So basically a good reg first has to be a bad reg in order to be a good reg

i dunno you can tell a lot from sizings ppl use and the hand selection you see at sd. i agree that w/r over a large sample is the best indicator, but i mean you can usually tell if someone is clueless about certain things.

This, it's clear to see people's imbalances after a few showdowns if they're not careful, so a good approach is to always keep at least the worst combos in check so people will take more time to realize you are deviating.
