If I thought he was valuebetting worse I wouldn't fold that. You would be surprised at how many regfish at these stakes bet 50% with AJ to get more calls from our midpairs/AK.*
What is regfish?
What are your monthly results?
Why you assume thin value betting is wrong?
Your thinking is so " polarized"
Regs that adapt too much in a very obvious way and play really face up without any system to randomize their plays or at least even trying to hide their exploits. They also underestimate some regs that are capable and end up trying to exploit them when they have no business going into that direction.
Imo the biggest difference between a good reg and a bad reg is that the good reg knows people he can abuse and people he can't.
Some hands
H1: this is a good example of a regfish trying to outplay me, I'm pretty sure he reads this thread after this hand because he snap called this. His sizing is so bad and it's so obvious what he is trying to do, not only that but he goes for that play and just snap call after that, giving me a very good read on what he is up to lol.
fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.32 BB, BTN calls 2.32 BB, SB raises to 12 BB, fold, Hero raises to 100 BB and is all-in, BTN calls 64.5 BB and is all-in, SB calls 64.18 BB and is all-in
Flop:(220.18 BB, 3 players) Q 2 9
Turn:(220.18 BB, 3 players) 4
River:(220.18 BB, 3 players) 6
SB shows Q A (One Pair, Queens)
Main Pot [201.46 BB]: (Pre 21%, Flop 44%, Turn 64%)
Side Pot#1 [18.72 BB]: (Pre 27%, Flop 83%, Turn 93%)
Hero shows K A (High Card, Ace)
Main Pot [201.46 BB]: (Pre 44%, Flop 9%, Turn 5%)
Side Pot#1 [18.72 BB]: (Pre 73%, Flop 17%, Turn 7%)
BTN shows J 9 (One Pair, Nines)
Main Pot [201.46 BB]: (Pre 35%, Flop 47%, Turn 31%)
SB wins 216.18 BB
H6: insane to see this nit pull this one off lol. I almost folded
BB shows K T (High Card, King)
(Pre 49%, Flop 29%, Turn 11%) Hero shows 7 7 (Straight, Nine High)
(Pre 51%, Flop 71%, Turn 89%) Hero wins 112.34 BB
H7: vs random fish, at the time I thought it was decent, but after a bit of thinking I think this is could be a major spew vs fish, what do you guys think?

So basically you.

Sort of like when you dismissed the biggest crusher in the pool Soviet Wings as a bad reg? lul.

Fun fact: numbers never lie
What matters most is winrate and its obviously a bad reg is someone who is breakeven or losinglongterm( at least 300-500k hands, although I think 1m is the best sample to see true winrate)
I think every reg has played a certain amount of hands in which they ended up adapting too much thus leading to bad decisions and being the bad reg.
So basically a good reg first has to be a bad reg in order to be a good reg

i dunno you can tell a lot from sizings ppl use and the hand selection you see at sd. i agree that w/r over a large sample is the best indicator, but i mean you can usually tell if someone is clueless about certain things.

This, it's clear to see people's imbalances after a few showdowns if they're not careful, so a good approach is to always keep at least the worst combos in check so people will take more time to realize you are deviating.
H3: what system do you guys use vs a fish like that in this spot? Tbh I felt like he was just tilted shipping a draw. I used to call those open jams really light and found lots of interesting hands, but post-flop it's different. Was surprised with my equity btw
h3 on AK9 vs a 100bb rip over a 1bb cbet... and you call A5....
you would fold vamoooooo fold AK because he always has 99, but with A5 you call so that you can look cool if he has QJ
are you really asking what "system" to use vs 15x pot rips on the nut flop for your range? you print so hard if you can fold the A5 and find a call with AK one time
