Greetings Everyone,

Plan is simple but hard to achieve 10k€ in the bank+bankroll and ~+2k$ income/monthly from poker.

After unexpected success in my first blog, where I succeed in making 1k$ profit in a month playing 25nl.
Wanted to continue keep myself accountable and have a good place for reflection.

In this blog I will be posting:
-Weekly updates (Result Graph,Sessions,RB,Interesting HH)
-Weekly goals and plans (upfront)
-Monthly updates
-Monthly goals and plans (upfront)

About me, I'm 26 year old male from Latvian and currently working full-time job(15days a month, 12h shifts). For now I'm playing 25nl PartyPoker Regular/Zoom tables and have a rakeback ~25%. In future might look into other options but for now I'm satisfied with 25nl pool of PartyPoker. Will be using aggressive bankroll management 20bi up with 2bi shots.

P.S. Will not end this blog until I achieve my goal, for how ever long it takes.

Thanks for reading.
Any feedback about how I played or thinks I could do better is much appreciated.

This is a terrible goal to have, especially as a short-term goal.

Agree, it's an experiment. Because this month I had no finiacle goals I was break-even. Obviously it can be variance, but I feel like its in my head. Been re-thinking and maybe it's when I don't have finiacle goal I don't care about winning enough...meaning going for craziest bluffs in **** spots and going for all the hero calls.

Will try it out.

May Goals and Plans

Greetings,
In May I have 14 workdays and 17 free. As of late I been struggling with results oriented thinking (at least that is how I feel while writing this post) so to combat that my goals for the May will be as followed:

Poker:
- Play 20k hands
- Build strategy flop for BvB and BTN vs BB (both SRP) in gtowizard 25 subset
- Limit session time to 1h 30min max
- Try out different poker sites (IPoker, 888Poker, WPT global)

Mental:
- Read Mental Game of Poker (cover to cover)
- ~15min walks in morning on off-work days
- Track my emotions and write them down during playing

Fitness:
- Gym 10x
- 20 Push-ups everyday

Lifestyle:
- Pre-schedule every off-work day
- Complete breakfast everyday (Been only drinking coffee in mornings)
- Track my spending's (got an app)

Thanks for reading.
Any feedback about how I played or thinks I could do better is much appreciated.

Gl man, I've been playing with you a bit recently.

I would advise taking agressive shots at 50nl on party as its basically the same, sometimes softer, as 25nl.

If you want to known my screenname you commented on my flipping skills today

Thanks for advice, I been shot talking 50nl a little(2k hands). But with my current BR and my confidence degrading, need to re-group. node if your profile pic is K.H. and in that case your tagged as Reg not s***-reg.

Haha yeh that's me, I have you with the red for reg tag and not the purple **** reg one aswell. There are plenty of purple tags though as I'm sure your aware.

I find the morning and afternoons great for shot taking. Quite often you can find tables with 3 fish and some bad regs but volume will be lower and if your not already make sure to give the real name tables a try. Somehow the real whales love to have the world know who they are.

Agree, mornings and late evenings are my favorite. Been trying them a little bit, but I hate to guess who is who(regs).

I start every reg as s***-reg and then I promote them if I see anything respectful-worthy (imo ofc). And for you if remember correctly, I promoted you when you traped me in a smart way and I blasted(from a s*** reg to reg in a day).

Week 1 Recap

Greetings,
First week of the Blog was interesting... Started with having many doubt about my game and mental, but all changed when I decided to focus on everything I can control (Sleep, Diet, Fitness, Study, schedule) instead of results. Took me two s**t days to confirmed what Dante said (weekly profit goal is terrible idea). Also listen to J.E.C. about morning 50nl games and was pleasantly surprised, so much so that played 4h without breaks at Sunday(Bad idea as I f****d up my schedule and had huge headache).
For the following week will have 3 work days.

Cash: +90,3$
Spins: +9,73$ (free tickets)
Mtt: -19,53$ ( two 11$ mtt and 22$ step satellite to 1500euro Live event)
RB: +62,5$ +25$ welcome bonus
Total: +168$

Cash Graph:

Results/Stats:

Session Graph:

(Could not fit all in one pic)

RB:

(Did recieve 25$ welcome bonuss for playing(VPIP) 1k hands at 50nl)

Biggest Win:

HH1: Vs Whale, Had 3 notes on him - Min 3B IP, Min 3B OOP KTo, Calls J8s BTN vs CO 2,5x.... Was really unsure, but ended up calling (he sat down at our table 10 hands ago with 250bb)

Biggest Loss/ Unluckiest:

HH2: Vs Whale, he did this weird min 3B with anything he taught is good enough to 3B. Funny part is that I looked at option cash-out 131$ and said *I aint no b***h*

Biggest Bluff:

HH3: Vs Reg, I already decide to blast on brick river, he went deep into tank and called... looked up the spot in gtowizard and he should call all Tx and 9x so I'm happy to blast of here

Biggest Hero Fold:

HH4: Vs aggro fish, could not bring myself to call... might be money scare.

Luckiest:

HH5: Vs Whale, In a game with fishes/whales just trying to hit a good hand and stack off... Lucky turn

Funny Sweat:

HH6: Vs Fish, In a game with fishes/whales just trying to get my money in good.

MTT spot:

HH7: In step satellite, first 5 get to final stage. Problem with this spot is that big stack was a Whale that limped a lot preflop and let everyone realize their EQ. Got frustrated and ended up calling and lost to KTs.

Goals for Week 1:

1. Regain stability in my poker performance.
Success Felt much better about my game as week progressed

2. Gym 2x week
Failed went once, was too lazy during weekend

3. Make 250$
Failed Started to feel better once I dropped this goal (Dante was right)

4. Play 8k hands
Failed Close but little ambitious

5. 20 push-ups in the morning
6/7 Success Skipped only one day

6. Study/Build strategy SB vs BB, BTN vs BB SRP A-high boards.
1/2 Success Did SB vs BB but did not start BTN vs BB

Goals for Week 2
1. 20 push-ups in the morning
2. Gym 2x week
3. Plan my free days ahead in planner to have better balance between time spend for gf/poker/fitness
4. Better sleep routine ( 23:00 )
5. Max session length 1h 30min
6. DO not play after work
7. Build strategy SB vs BB K-high boards (GTOw 25 subset)
8. Read fist two chapters of MGOP

Thanks for reading.

Week 2 Recap

Greetings,
Second week of the blog was decent. Started week great, but after late night shift had to attended work related meeting (once a month mandatory) next morning, which f****k up my sleep and grind for following days. Also played after work, something that is really bad for my win-rate. Ran really well on the weekend and was close to winning 1,5k€ package to live event. Need to focus more on limiting my bad habits - playing after work, playing while tired, unable to quite good game.

Cash: +432,5$
Mtt: -75,12$ (22$ x3, 11$ x3, 5,5$ x4)
RB: +62,5$
Total: +419,88$

Cash Graph:

Results/Stats:

Session Graph:

RB:

Biggest Win:

HH1: Vs Maniac/calling station(QJo) and Aggro fish, weird spot. Was more concern about min 3B/all-in then QJo guy( because had a note: that he SQZ 12bb/called K9o SB vs HJ 2,5x/24bb and BTN CC/fold)

Biggest Loss:

HH2: Vs Reg(tightish), Head-up, Best reasoning that I had atm to call was that it's HU (half thought out decision)

Biggest Bluff:

HH3: Vs Unknow(seemed like a reg), SB was a massive calling-station. My thought process was that he would value bet larger with bigger hand and that he is trying to get thin value

2nd Biggest bluff:

HH4: Vs fish, he tanked bet turn and river and his sizings scream to me like he doesn't have a King and that he is afraid of trips. Snaped folded OTR.

Luckiest:

HH5: Vs Reg, BB was a whale, He traped me good, was expecting sets and straight to raise for protection and thought I can fold out a lot of better hands, even overpairs... I did say sorry after the hand.

Funny Runout:

HH6: Vs Reg, I was thinking about folding OTF.

Biggest Donation:

HH7: Vs Fish, just happy to be at the right table, at the right time when fish decides to punt.

Goals for Week 2:

1. 20 push-ups in the morning
Failed - did 3/7 days

2. Gym 2x week
Success

3. Plan my free days ahead in planner to have better balance between time spend for gf/poker/fitness
Success - execution was lacking but I did have plan for every free day

4. Better sleep routine ( 23:00 )
Failed - Had a late night shift and could not get into good sleeping routine

5. Max session length 1h 30min
Success - few longer session was result off mtt going in the background

6. DO not play after work
Failed

7. Build strategy SB vs BB K-high boards (GTOw 25 subset)
Failed

8. Read fist two chapters of MGOP
Failed - did not even lift the book form the shelf.

Goals for Week 3
1. 10 push-ups in the morning + good balanced breakfast
3. Plan my free days ahead in planner to have better balance between time spend for gf/poker/fitness
4. Better sleep routine ( 23:00 )
5. Max session length 1h 30min
6. DO not play after work
7. Build strategy SB vs BB K-high boards (GTOw 25 subset)
8. Read fist two chapters of MGOP

Maybe make a more specific goal for the ones you failed.

For example instead of read first two chapters of MGOP.

Have sub goal.

1. Monday take book from shelf and read one page.

2. Each day after read one page.

Same for build strategy sB vs BB K high.

1. Find out the sizing and percentage of bet va check.

2. Look at hand classes for betting vs checking.

3. Come up with heuristic for betting vs checking.

And just keep going like this.

I think when you have so many goals some of these broader ones it's easier to fail because maybe they are too big/broad so your brain kind of is in all or nothing mode and it's easier to put it off.

But if you make tiny goal sometimes it's easier to get over that initial inertia to get started.

Looking forward to seeing you in the Triton High Rollers soon!

Agree with everything you said and will try to make my goals smaller/more achievable.

Got sick(command cold), so skipping work and few goals(gym,push-ups). Should give me more time to do other goals...

P.S. Waiting for the Triton to sponsor me
