A printing press is a device for applying pressure to an inked surface resting upon a print medium (such as paper or cloth), thereby transferring the ink. Typically used for texts, the invention and spread of the printing press are widely regarded as the most influential events in the second millennium AD.

What does this have to do with poker you ask?
Well it does, because what I want to do is start printing some money at the tales

A little bit about me:
My name is Andrei 27 YO and I am from Romania.
I played some poker through high school and uni (mostly cash SNG's with friends), but really started playing since February this year.
And I was like booom, instant impact on the tables, although I was preparing myself for a period of accommodation at the tables. Maybe the way I approach things in life kind of helped, because as soon as I like something, I treat it very seriously. And this is what also happened with poker. As soon as I created an account, I started creating accounts on a dozen forums (2+2 included) to learn more about the game and not dive head first in the unknown.

I managed to pull 4 great months for a beginner at FTP earning a little bit more then 1k in profits playing 3$ 90 men KO SNGs. Then you all know what happened with FTP. I was kind of lucky because I cashed out ~90% of the winnings just a couple of days before the "appocalipse" for personal needs and I didn't take such a hard hit like many others have.

I switched at PS, but man I was in for a big surprise. The games were totally different. Fishes were still fishes obviously but, the game structure is what screwed me up.

At FTP the turbo was 6 minutes levels with 10 levels between 10-20 BB to 120-240 BB. So 1 hour until 120-240 and you also had 3000 chips to begin with. At PS, you get to 125-250 lvl in like 25 minutes and you only have 75 BBs at the beginning of a MT SNG.

Took me about an 80 buy in downswing to realize that turbo games at PS aren't for me... Took about 2 months off from poker and began other projects.

This month I felt like playing a bit of poker in a weekend. I played a 6 table session and I ended up in profit. And then I had another session and ended up in profit. And another, and another.... you see where I am getting at.
It total I had about 30 sessions this month and I only ended up in deficit once.

I played 1,5$ 90 men KOs NORMAL speed (i'm done with turbos for now) at the beginning and I am already mixing them with 2,5$ 90s as my bankroll allows it now.
I am running with a 77% ROI for normal speed 90s this month over a ~250 games sample.

Goals:

1) Volume: I used to 4-6 table at the beginning as I like to have my tables tiled, and I couldn't fit more tables on my small monitor.
I realized that you cannot ever earn enough money by only 4-6 tableing the micros. So i still keep my tables tiled in 4 but piled up another 4 tables on top of each other. So the average session is 16 tables now.
I intend to take that to 24.
So far I have managed to play every day since I re-found my Modjo and I somehow managed to do that without pissing off my wife
Another goal would be to play a least 25 days a month and also managing to have a relation with my wife and not fall asleep at work (I also work full time)
2) Move up the limits and play 4.50$ 180s within bankroll by January next year.
3) cash out enough money in the next 2 months so I can buy myself a new bigger monitor and a tiny laptop for my wife.
4) long term: become a successful MTT player

If you believe I should add other goals, please advise. I am open to suggestions.
Ah, almost forgot. My screen name at PS is Santagremlin, so go ahead and say hi if you bump into me at the tables.
Good luck to all of you but a little bit more to me :P

It seems that opening this blog was the good luck charm for tonight.
I finally won a 90 man KO after a couple of disappointing days, and finished 2nd in another one.
I forgot to say earlier that I kind of suck at shorthanded play, and this chapter needs lot of improvement. So you'dd say: how do I manage to pull an 80% ROI in the current month without winning more then 2 or 3 tourneys? My ITM percentage is 28%, which is great. It shows that I get there. But something snaps from 5 players down even though I usually arrive there as chip leader or 2nd chip leader. Either I have too much of a fishy image, other exactly the opposite and I end up with a big target on my back. 5th or 4th still pays enough to earn me a good profit, but 1st or 2nd would take my ROI over the roof if I managed to keep the same ITM rate.
So another goal that I forgot to put in my first post would be to improve my shorthanded play.
I am however convinced that everything comes with experience and I only got back to poker 3 weeks ago. Give it a couple hundred more games and I should at least not suck at SH and HU play

In conclusion, a 30+$ day playing 9*1.5$ games and 5*2.5$ which means an 100+ROI for the session.
The sky is the limit.
Keep you posted,

Andrei

good solid morning session.
there was a fish fest at the tables.
3/5 ITM 3rd,5th and 8th respectively, good enough for another 20$ profit session.
closing in a 300$ month which is good considering the factI only had 30$ left in my account on 6th of November
