Hi guys,

I'm playing PLO100 and PLO200 FastForward on PP.

I've made around 20k$ this year and want to add another 50k$ on top of that. I've finally been allowed to download hands (restrictions to the local client), so now I can actually post hands and giraphs.

BR is 20k$ which IMO isn't quite enough to play PLO200. Therefore, I'll only play PLO200 if the PLO100 pool isn't running.

Usually playing 6 tables at a time but wan't to try to stick to 4, especially at PLO200 as I'm probs making too many small mistakes running 6 tables.

The rakeback is a flat 20% due to regulations in my country (Denmark) heavily taxing the pokersite, thus limiting me from receiving any form of promotions besides the flat 20%. The rakeback won't count towards my 50k$ goal, but can count towards the overall BR should everything go to ****.

On a long term. The end goal is to become somewhat financially independent so I can quit my job (9-5) and become a full time writer. And buy an old Volvo. I hate my job even though the money is somewhat good.

I've considered streaming. Would be just me playing, no picture and most likely some form of techno running in the background. I haven't settled on this yet.

Life is basically: reading, writing, working, girlfriend, friends and beers. There isn't that much time for poker which is why I'm making this blog, to keep myself sticking to the goal and also 3bet less when running bad, lol. The winnings are tax free by the way.

My year so far:

PLO100 - 5,2 EVbb

PLO200 - 6,1 EVbb

The stats are inflated, especially PLO200 as it's usually running 3 or 4-handed.

Most likely I'll also play the occasional sunday MTT program.

There are very few regs that I actually respect in these pools. So don't take it personally if I make fun of your play in this blog.

I'll try to post at least two times a week, mainly interesting HH's and the occasional graph, yet this weekend I won't be online at all due to real life obligations.

And so the grind begins

Thanks a lot mate! I see your point. However, I wanna prove to myself that I can do it without including rakeback. Might be a long shot though

Am almost done with "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami. What a gem of a book. So many weird things happening and such an amazing story line as well. Too many pointless digressions for my taste but very entertaining none the less. Wish my imagination would be half of that of Murakami's.

I do like "Hear The Wind Sing" and "Pinball, 1973" more though. 7/10 so far.

glgl bro I am just learning some plo at like 100 level, it's a very fun game. The way to embed pictures in imgur is by clicking the three dots at the top right of the image and copy the BBcode and paste it.

Thank you! And thanks for solving the embedding issue. PLO sure is fun. It can also be brutal. Did run 100Bi below EV at one point earlier in my "career". That was miserable. You start to question everything. But it has also made me a lot better because I was constantly forced to look at your own game.

Got a short night session in. My friends got too drunk and went home early! Session went very well even though I was (am) quite drunk. Pool did punt a lot. Had a few punts myself. Mistakes really....

Anyways. Been listening to a lot of phonk lately. Here's my go to at the moment.

Masterclass.

Anyways. Here are the best and worst (when will I learn) hands of the session.

Had a nightmare session yesterday. Luckily it was PLO100 as the '100 game was running for once. It's weird how for a long period of time the PLO100 game ran everyday, but now it seems mostly to be PLO200.

I just moved from Copenhagen where I lived for 12 years (I'm 32 btw) to a smaller city two hours away. My girlfriend, whom is still living in Copenhagen, is visiting, so won't get to play much poker this week. Trying to squeeze in a short session when I can.

So all my bluffs basically got picked off with villain catching the perfect card on river quite a few times. Also ran pretty bad in distribution which didn't make things better. Here is the graph and some of the most interesting hands.

vs huge reg whale, made me laugh quite a bit, it's always nice when you see these plays, reminds me how soft PLO still is

Yes, I'm getting more than 5 to 1 on the call. The question is if potting the turn is good. I think it is. This guy has more than just wraps otf, and checking is hell letting him realize his equity with all his fd's. Betting smaller doesn't really work either. Once i c/r the flop I'm potting almost all non spade turns. A blocker doesn't really matter when the spr gets this low IMO, and especially not vs this reg fish.

I'd consider folding the turn H1, but not sure, I know BvB will be very loose and he won't fold much vs. the 3 bet. It's probably a continue.

AP on the river, 79 is a very credible combo for him to have in some sort of 7789 wrap type hand. I'd probably fold, blocking diamonds isn't great either. No idea, it's an interesting hand.

Once i c/r the flop I'm potting almost all non spade turns. A blocker doesn't really matter when the spr gets this low IMO, and especially not vs this reg fish.
Thank you for the answer! It makes sense.

I have another one: do you think, that Jnandez's book is a good starting point for a player, who used to play NLH his whole life (talking about me haha).

Or what other free/low cost resources would you recommend for a micro stakes player?

Thanks in advance.

I think folding turn fold is probably viable on PLO100 as an exploitative play. I think the regs are too good on PLO200 for this to be a fold. Question is, if I don't call this river, what rivers do I call? All diamonds for sure. But need to mix in some none diamond calls as well. Would prefer to have a 7 obviously, but I do block a 789 type of wrap. I'm leaning more and more towards this being a fold. Thanks for your input! - very interesting hand indeed.

Honestly, I'm not really the one to comment on Jnandez. So take this with a grain of salt. I don't like him much. And I don't think he is as good as he think he is. Obviously he knows the fundamentals, but I haven't seen him do any advanced stuff. Also, the times I've watched his stream he has made some baffling preflop mistakes. I don't know much about his content as I haven't subbed to any of it. But if someone else writes his courses, his book and his mastermind software, then sure it might be worth it.

For free lowstakes (I'm lurking in your HU SNG thread, so I guess lowstakes is where you'll be starting) content I would recommend you Luuk Botter on Youtube. He is very good at explaining general concepts and also has some very good "tips" videos. He is very solver oriented as well which is good. It's been years since I've used any resources except from solvers. So I don't really know what's out there, sorry.

I can maybe write up some of my tips that has helped my game tremendously. Have to consider that, as I don't want to give away too much info on my game. Will for sure be some regulars from my game lurking on this forum. Some of them has already hinted at that in chat

Maybe book is not the best, but i think the really fundamental think in PLO is to have solid pre flop startegy and one of the best way is to buy a course to prepare that. And talking about Jnandez the great tool to sort it out is PLo Trainer or of course Monker, but Monker is much more expensive for micro stakes players.

1 hand is just a call of 3b, why u want to 4b this hand?
2. It is pure fold on pre flop, especially vs short

v 4b appr 20%, it's fine, generally avoid kings in your hand when you 4b, yet you need some kings boii

says who, your gto preflop chart? it's def fine vs this guy. he 3.5x all his aces (i know this for a fact), and will ch/fold all flops he doesn't outright smash

yes, J874 is always fold, when u put this stakes , this rake structure and BBs. I even have checked that in Monker and PloTrainer as well.

And of course it is pure GTO, so teory. Adjustments always needed in lay, but i think most of players will fold that, and really important factor is rake structure on Plo100. On small stakes, u prefer to play less hands.
On the other hand u prefer to call less and more raise/3b on this rake structure.
